From the mundane to the exotic, these are some of the new cars we were diving in 1965.

Thanks. I’m so not interested in cars!! LOL
I’m old and remember Uni, Roy and Al. I knew guys named Roy and Al. The woman named Uni totally confused me. I never knew a woman named Uni. This made me think this ad campaign was stupid.
My car in 1965. A 1930 Model A Ford Tudor Sedan. Paid $125 for it. Drove it until went into the Navy in 69.
About the C2 corvette ride height — that is a very knowing comment. I have a friend with a ‘63 split window. I’m going to see what he things about this. I think it’s a great point. He’s gonna hate me.
A friend of mine had a Manta. It was the reason I got the GT.
Those were really great cars.
1965 Buick LeSabre (sp?).
Well..
They have the ‘65 version of my ‘64 GTO...
Tell him it looks stoopit.
It needs to be slammed (he can always put it back stock)
I think one of the coolest things going now is a Volksrod. It's a Beetle rat-rod, radically chopped, lowered, no fenders, big rear tires, straight front axle set forward, and of course a hot engine...usually flat paint.
Google: Volksrod.
I’m not sure I am following you. Short answer is no. I don’t support the government making us wear helmets in cars. That is laughable. Unless I am doing 200 mph around Daytona, no helmet for me. That being said, I have not heard that they are pushing a law forward saying we must.
My point was mostly in agreement that the beauty in cars has been downplayed to allow for safety.
And then Buick subbed in some Japanese rust bucket and called the Opels.
Opel is European GM. Several Buick models are Opels even today.
“Opel is European GM. Several Buick models are Opels even today.”
This is true. However, some time in the later 70’s Buick branded a rust bucket Japanese car as an Opel. It was horrible!
You might be young, but when people talk about the government and helmets, they mean on motorcycles.
In our cars they make us strap ourselves into bucket seats, by law, and I think even the seat is ordered by law.
Ha! No, not young. I misunderstood your comment. In that case, I believe we are firmly on the same page!
You can, and should, say the same thing of every @$$hole driving a honda.
