Are there really people on the planet that think Obama, after ceding the Middle East to ISIS and Iran, is going to attack South America/Venezuela?

I guess some countries thrive somehow on worrying about US Marines on their beaches.

Maybe they know something we don’t. After all they have lived under socialism for some time now...

No, but leaders in collapsing countries need a boogyman to distract the masses as much as they can from the real problems, the leaders. Hands up, don't shoot!

No, but leaders in collapsing countries need a boogyman to distract the masses as much as they can from the real problems, the leaders. It definitely works in our country.

Maduro is doing this just to deflect his country's attention from his extremely bad management and leadership skills and lack of results by blaming the US (like he always has) for his country's problems. He has run out of ideas for the ruined economy (socialists always do) and with oil at only $45 a barrel, he has run out of money too. He traveled the world recently with his hand out for a bailout but didn't get any takers. So now he is desperate and telling his population that the US is the cause of their problems (another trait of narcissistic socialists is that they never accept responsibility for their own failures--sound familiar?).
One has to wonder how stinky this 30,000 troop army will smell without toilet paper.

Id guess that a lot of the folks in Venezuala dont likely know where the US is..so this will probably work to keep them busy with the boogeyman

No doubt the people of Venezuela would welcome an actual US invasion right about now.
To: MeshugeMikey
The US needs to do nothing - chavez and Maduro are destroying Venezuela better than even the CIA could have planned it.

Hey, Maduro and fellow Venezuelans: Got toilet paper yet? Are you still waiting in line so you can be scanned for buying too much and hording? Venezuela appears to be circling the toilet bowl and headed down after the “flush” lever was pushed.

I think that should be boogieman.
