URGENT: White House Confirms Obama Planning Huge New Executive Order
Conservative Tribune in Defense of Western Civilization ^ | March 14, 2015 | Staff

Here we go again. White House press secretary Josh Earnest has officially confirmed that President Barack Obama plans to implement yet another executive order. This one is slated to send tax rates skyrocketing through the roof!

The hoopla started last Friday, when Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders submitted a letter to the White House that asked the president to nullify six currently active corporate tax breaks. Closing these tax breaks would raise $100 billion in a decade, but also cost us innumerable jobs.

When questioned about this letter by Ed Henry, senior White House correspondent with Fox News, Earnest first tried to dodge the question by saying that “the president’s ability to use executive authority to move the country in the right direction” is always a possibility.

This statement signifies that the White House views a potential tax increase in a positive light. Ed Henry rebutted it by bluntly asking, “Would the president raise taxes by executive action?”

There is a quote attributed to one of the Vanderbilts to the effect of "Law? What do I care about the law? Hain't I got the power?" That sums up Obama's attitude.

Unfortunately few Americans know much about English history. The Patriots of the American Revolution called themselves Whigs after the 17th-century English Whigs who had fought the Stuart kings' absolutist tendencies. The struggle over the right of taxation was central to that--and why the Patriots were so much on guard against Parliament's claim to be able to impose taxes on them.

Most present-day Americans don't seem to care.

And is exactly what happened when Congress passed the luxury tax on yachts in 1990. The tax of 10% was placed on new yachts built in the USA. The tax did not cover used yachts or yachts built outside the USA (and presumably registered outside the USA). Well, everyone knows what happened. The tax raised almost no money and several yacht manufacturers went out of business and the net effect of Revenue - Expenditures was actually negative. Sales tax revenue fell as yacht sales fell, unemployment compensation payments went up as yacht workers were laid off etc.

Well what did Biden say a few weeks ago? Anyone catch that? He said “We are going to emancipate you from your wealth” and that’s just what the Islamic agent in the White House is doing.

I think the President can change tariffs and fees...that sort of stuff. And maybe not even those.

The executive has a lot of regulatory power. They can impose fees on hunting stamps and fees for other national fees. I wonder if things like the “revenue” taxes on spirits are really taxes, or fees.

Certainly, tax legislation must start in the house. But any tax that is not “specified” by statute becomes a regulation. For example, the Congress might say the BTAFE can impose a purchase tax on a firearm. If the fee is not specified, I would imagine they could certainly increase that fee rate.

I am no tax lawyer. And I would not want to be one.

Yup.
It’s stuff we’ve already seen before, and the idiots just keep trying it because they think “someday it might work” somehow.
LOL.

And that would be fine with Obama. He doesn't really care about the revenue. He just wants to collapse the country and prepare it for takeover by foreign enemies. If he needs any money, he will just issue more obligations covered by debt and the Federal Reserve.

And congress will do what to stop him??????

That's the only interesting question. Anyone with half a brain knows that Obama is doing everything he can to destroy America, as fast as he can.

So their projected revenue from this will likely actually be in negative integers.

As Zippy once said, it's about redistribution.

The Congress is the only branch that can change the tax structure. If Obama tries it and they don’t step in then we can look forward to a daily barrage from now until he finally declares martial law and tries to make himself President for life. This is where its headed if he’s not stopped.

Uh, tax rates, breaks and so, are enacted in law. He can’t change them.

Oh, like our federal laws which state it's illegal to enter the country illegally? All while government aids and abets this epic illegal invasion at every turn?

Roger that...Over.

I bet all the white middle-class Americans who voted for Obama in ‘08 are totally eating crow. That’s the thing that pisses me off. I can understand the black elites and underclass voting for Obama, but then you have these suburban and rural white working and middle-class folks showing up at the rallies and now being screwed.

eGOP will bend over and let him do it even though it is very much an unconstitutional order spelled out specifically. No debating it at all.
