A group of university professors has signed a letter showing their solidarity with students who tried to ban the American flag at the University of California, Irvine because they said Old Glory contributes to racism.
U.S. nationalism often contributes to racism and xenophobia, and that the paraphernalia of nationalism is in fact often used to intimidate, read a letter obtained by the website Campus Reform.
Hundreds across the nation have signed the letter including some U.C. Irvine professors, Campus Reform reported.
"We admire the courage of the resolution's supporters amid this environment of political immaturity and threat, and support them unequivocally" the letter stated.
How those professors can sleep at night knowing their salaries are paid for by a bunch of xenophobic racists is beyond me.
On March 3 the U.C. Irvine student government association voted 6-4-2 to remove Old Glory from a campus lobby for the sake of cultural inclusivity.
The un-American knuckleheads blathered on about how "the American flag has been flown in instances of colonialism and imperialism."
Breitbart quoted an unnamed student who said the student government association feared the flag might hurt the feelings of illegal aliens.

That’d sure work for me, many of them would change their phony idealism in a hurry.
Bump
Bump
Then maybe UC-Irvine should be spared any tainted tax dollars from those racist Americans?
And when they get one, watch them force every one of us to kiss it!
Calling for a US flag ban is the same as calling for the end of the US: Sedition.
The “professors” prove that they are idiots in spite of their degrees. They should join isis so as to act-out their self-loathing. Fools.
“idiots in spite of their degrees”
Often because of. A degree is no way has ever differentiated a person’s intelligence or education, and colleges today prove it.
Interesting this coming from UC Irvine. This is a branch of the California University System that has a major problem on its campus with antisemitism. Over the past several years, the Muslim fanatics on campus have made a near full time occupation out of bashing campus Jews and Jewish groups. Yet these same faculty members who cannot seem to tolerate the presence of the American flag, say NOTHING about the Muslim fanatics.
Somehow I never thought that Chinese immigrants would go for this sort of garbage.
Yeah, I’m good with pesos.
And I strongly feel these preverts should come down here to
Texas and say that to a bunch of Lone-Star-waving rednecks. Like me.
It won’t end up purty for them preverts. We’ll fix the glitch.
treasonous bastards should not be permitted to walk around
>>>”Hardly a surprise that hundreds of leftist, communist professors across the nation would support a US Flag ban.
Fire them, they shouldn’t be teaching our young people.”<<<
100% agree. They’re commies & leftists or with related sympathies.
Nothing new though. A flag has always been a strong symbol for a nation.
Can you imagine the same criticizing, for example, the USSR flag, or the current Islamic Republic of Iran’s flag as “racist”? Mind you, the latter didn’t even ask for votes to determine if even 50% of population agreed to it or even understood where the heck it came from...
We’ve got to start defunding the leftist cesspools that most colleges have become. Need to starve them out.
A photographer caught some "racists" in the act of intimidating, using that "paraphernalia":
Funny how most news stories seem to skip over the fact that there is no official display of a flag in the lobby, and that this entire effort was to squelch the flag that the vice president of student affairs placed outside their office door. That this was a targeted effort to suppress an individual’s display of the flag.
good i hope the majority of students get rid of these guys
