In the Middle Ages, there was a generally honored convention whereby criminals and political offenders could claim the Right of Sanctuary in a Church. Actually its an ancient tradition, up through the time of Henry the VIII, every civilization had places of Sanctuary.
We have one, too. Its called the United Nations. The laws are long and complex, and have all sorts of requirements. You can read a little more about it in this UN publication: Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations.
But generally speaking, you have to be on UN ground, and you have to be associated in some way with the work of the UN, and be doing that work. Well, before Hillarys denial session about the emails today, she went to the UN building and gave a speech on behalf of the Clinton Foundation as on of its directors. Then, still on UN ground, she gave her position statement on her emails.
So in actual legal reality, there are serious questions as to whether what she said today can be held against her in an American court of law, or even according to American laws. Thats why she linked her presence there with her UN work, as an agent of an approved UN organization, on UN soil.
What does this tell us?
That shes scared right down to her toenails. So scared, in fact, that she had to go to Church today and invoke the protection of Sanctuary. After, of course, appearing before the delegates of all of the countries that gave the Clinton Foundation money, and reminding them that if shes not elected, they wont get what they paid for.
And then turning around and telling the American people that as far as the emails are concerned, from her position on UN soil, while invoking the protection of American treaties with the UN, she didn't do anything wrong.
After that, and only after that, did she re-enter the United States.
One term I keep hearing is that her actions were not "technically illegal".
Is that really who the Dems are willing to accept as their leader, someone who repeatedly skirts the law for her own good?
Like “oral sex” is Not sex!!!
She is in contempt of congress from withholding these messages from the Benghazi investigators and again by confounding their search efforts when she delivered paper copies instead of the electronic documents. Additionally, she may have destroyed any incriminating messages.
There is no audit of this missing private server.
She’s possibly committed acts that go beyond “not ‘technically illegal’”.
This is one of the greatest posts ever.
I wouldn’t mind her seeking sanctuary if the results was that she was exiled from this country, and ordered never to return again.
Why don’t they run together as co-joined twins! Two for the price of one!
Seeking sanctuary? At the UN?
She’s gonna need it if the WCC or ICJ ever get ahold of her for aiding and abetting mayhem globally.
Accept, heck it is practically a requirement. Some may have noticed that she said she is using the server system her husband Bill installed when he was President.
Some here will remember when Bill took the White House he immediately installed a personal private computer system, the media couldn't have cared less the why of that.
hmmm... Thank you for posting. It will be interesting to see if this point is brought up beyond what you said here.
If you are correct about this, it would make the Hillary email presser one humongous trial balloon for her, her lawyers, the State Dept & the WH
-—float a narrative, see what sticks, modify the “facts” and the narrative...all without any legal jeopardy.
I look for her to donate a kidney next, adopt an African baby, work in the soup kitchen and drop some coins in the homeless man’s cup.
Thanks for this. Learned something worthwhile today.
A homeless man who queer friends of Hillary will then ravish before taking the money from his cup.
Why is it when I think of Hilary in church, I think of the fate of Byzantine Emperor Leo V?
Hillary looked as nervous as an old whore in church during that so called press conference.
She had a lot of vertical and horizontal rapid head movements (there was no ‘prompter). Definitely nervous time. Things were going fairly smooth until the final few minutes, then she really got flustered and was ushered out quickly.
Yes, she was stressed out.
She won’t run.
She did look nervous. But I predict she did enough to exculpate herself in the eyes of her cult, known as the Dems.
