In a sharp jab at Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, President Obama on Monday criticized Wisconsin's newly-signed law to prevent workers from being obliged to pay union dues as a "sustained, coordinated assault on unions, led by powerful interests and their allies in government."
"I'm deeply disappointed that a new anti-worker law in Wisconsin will WEAKEN, rather than strengthen workers in the new economy," Obama said. "Wisconsin is a state built by labor, with a proud pro-worker past. So even as its governor claims victory over working Americans, I'd encourage him to try and score a victory for working Americans — by taking meaningful action to raise their wages and offer them the security of paid leave."
"That's how you give hardworking middle-class families a fair shot in the new economy — not by stripping their rights in the workplace, but by offering them all the tools they need to get ahead," the president added.....

Florida has nearly as many registered Democrats as Republicans, a diverse Latino population, and pockets of densely populated urban areas. It is expensive to run a campaign in the Sunshine State and with 29 electoral votes, it is sure to be a battleground state for many more cycles to come.

The irony of this president speaking for the “hard working” does not escape.
It's clearly not Walker, but you've had plenty to say on a thread that celebrates a conservative win.
Pretending a nonexistent theoretical “phase out” of wealth redistribution isn’t socialism lite doesn’t help your cause. Put down the Kool Aid. He isn’t the next Reagan. We’ll be lucky if he’s even Bush ‘43.

At the present, I would hold my nose and vote for Walker, Perry, Palin, and Cruz. Each has their own problems.
NONE of them is the next Reagan. Those projecting their wishes, hopes, and desires upon any of them as the next great conservative hope are denying reality.
I will not vote for Bush, Christie, Rubio, Huckabee, Santorum, Paul, Carson, or Graham.
Without the commie Union thugs, the Kenyan never would have made it to the White House.
Maybe you missed it but Walker wants to phase out ethanol subsidies...not continue them...
I’m sure you understand economics were as cutting off subsidies would have a very negative effect on farmers who have worked in the government largesse into their business model...
It’s prudent to wean them off rather than cut them off...

Robbing the taxpayer a little less each year to hand money over to farmers for ethanol subsidies is still wealth redistribution.
The funds primarily benefit large agri firms, not the single farmer trying to support a family. Crony capitalism.
And let’s be clear. The “phase out” language is said with a wink and a nod, knowing full well it won’t happen. Designed to fool enough people to win the Iowa Caucus without getting labeled part of the establishment supporting the status quo.

You are right, this is not Scott Walker’s law. It was passed by both houses of the democratically elected State legislature, based on the vote of the people who put them in office. If Obama wants to “blame” someone have him blame the people of Wisconsin.
