BOOM: It Took Just 3 Minutes For Trey Gowdy to Leave the Media in Stunned Silence [VIDEO]

As we near the glorious day when Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., calls former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton before the House Select Committee on Benghazi for a grilling session that she’ll never be able to prepare enough for, we’re reminded of when Gowdy left a room full of journalists stunned and speechless — an impressive feat.

In a typical Washington, D.C., press conference, a couple dozen journalists and media types crowd into a small room and fire off a barrage of questions toward the person at the podium — but that’s not how it works when Gowdy’s behind the wheel.

Gowdy changed the very nature of the traditional press conference when, just minutes into his statement, he turned the tables and began asking the questions — starting with, “Can you tell me why Chris Stevens was in Benghazi, the night that he was killed? Do you know? Does it bother you whether or not you know why Chris Stevens was in Benghazi?”

He delivered his hard hitting questions in perfect Gowdy form, leaving the journalists in the room scrambling to figure out how to proceed.

It’s amazing how many of you have absorbed so suddenly and simultaneously the talking points of one reporter.

I used to be a big Gowdy fan but no more. He supports the orange crybaby and seems to be all bark and no bite.

...

So he’s just another participant in the DC theater where everybody pretends there are two political parties.

The Clintons are tough adversaries. Ask any of their supporters on this thread. Hillary isn’t going to sit at a hearing and start crying and confess and beg for mercy. The Democrats have been in full-blown protective mode since Benghazi. They know exactly how dangerous Libya is to the Democrat Party. There are bunches of Democrats involved. They can’t offer up just one as a sacrifice.
This is like pulling teeth from a crocodile. You can’t make a mistake. Gowdy knows this.
Let’s say Gowdy has the goods on Hillary and Obama and confronts them. What happens? They resign and we get Joe Biden and more of the same corrupt Democrat actions.
Nope. Slow and steady and put an end to the criminal syndicate that is the Democrat Party.

Talking is not doing anything. It’s just talk.

Gowdy is what Judicial Watch was for years. A noise maker.

That may be true on SSDs but military specs for hard drives require either hammering it or rewriting a series of 1’s and 0’s four times. Even then, on those hard drives, you can still tell — with really expensive equipment. That is why I was told “bludgeon it and drop it in the ocean” if you want to be safe for those hd files. SSDs — I don’t know of protocols for them.

It doesn’t matter anymore.

The drives are long gone.

"rewriting a series of 1’s and 0’s four times. "

The progrmas I've used rewrite way more than 4 times.

Those were mil specs a long time ago, I am not saying more current protocols do the same. I am also not entirely convinced that the limited group of people who set up the server off site had all the technical expertise. They may be conversant in it, but there are others who do this day in and day out. If Clinton follows form, it was her political inner circle who did this, so that they control who knows. They are political people, not techs with day to day experience. So I still want some forensics on the server. Not that any one pays attention, but “What difference does it make?” is not a way to run a country.

How many years has it been since Benghazi and not a single individual has been prosecuted? How about Lois Lerner, or anyone at the EPA or DOJ or any other agency?

You do realize that Congress has no ability to prosecute anyone, right? All they can do is hold hearings and make the results public. If the DoJ refuses to prosecute, there is nothing Congress can do. The best they can hope to do is build a strong enough case that the public outcry will force the administration to appoint a special prosecutor.

“Thanks for sharing.”

My, my. You are a Democrat. Do you think your hero Hillary will “share” what she did in Libya with the committee?

He also said, if I ‘member right, that the committee did not find out until a day before the story broke about the private email server.

I should have quoted this line which would be nice to see happen. To this line I posted that it is a pleasant dream.

Apology that my lack of specificity led you to the exact opposite understanding of what I posted. My bad.
