I guess the EPA assumes that they burn wood with no chimney... But shhhh! You can’t let the EPA know that they are a bunch of stupid naked emperors!

We did, too, when I was a child. I remember the big coal pile out back.

The EPA isn’t out to protect the environment so much as it is out to destroy capitalism and independence.

That needs to repeated over and over again and by candidates running for president. It is precisely the heart of the matter, and its intent is treason against our nation.

The first thing that came to mind was the scene from "Dr Zhivago" where Zhivago was being chased by government goons for daring to collect scrap wood to use to heat his home.

Actually, that leaves people too open to being able to produce their own food and travel at will.

Better that they live in high density high rises and use public transportation to get to their gov’t assigned job.

from a search. posted August 29, 2008 at 3:21 p.m. CST The Austin, Texas, city council has unanimously approved a renewable power purchase agreement between city-owned electric utility Austin Energy and Nacogdoches Power LLC, in what is expected to be a $2.3 billion contract over 20 years. The plan calls for Austin Energy to purchase all of the electricity produced at Nacogdoches Power's proposed 100-megawatt power generation facility, which will use waste wood to produce electricity. According to Austin Energy, the facility will burn wood waste from logging and mill activities, as well as urban wood from clearing, tree trimming and pallets

It depends on who is burning the wood.

“We used to burn coal....first they came for the coal, then the wood.... “

When I was a kid we had a stoker that fed the coal to the furnace. There was a big coal bin, a room under the front porch, for the coal. My job was to keep the stoker full, and to remove the clinkers from the furnace.

Any chance you have a source on that? I would love to see it. I’ve been trying to get an outdoor wood furnace myself

Obama should park AF1 for a week and it would probably compensate the ‘carbon footprint’ of all ovens in both states for years to come.

Proposed Amendment XXVIII:

Article the First of the Constitution for the united States of America is amended as follows:

Preamble: The People of the united States have granted certain of their legislative powers to a Congress. They have not granted any legislative powers to the President, to officers of the Executive Departments, or to judges appointed under Article III.

Section One: After "All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.", the following language is inserted: "Legislative powers herein granted may not be delegated to officers of the Executive Departments of the united States, or to judges holding office under Article III of this Constitution."

Section Two: This non-delegation provision may not be altered by Congress. Necessary regulation to carry into effect provisions of legislation passed by Congress may be created by officers appointed by and under the direct supervision of the Congress, provided that any regulation created under this provision may be disallowed by the votes of 3/5 of the State Legislatures".

Section Three: This amendment takes effect immediately upon ratification by three-fourths of the States.

The left was thrilled when cities and states declared themselves to be free to harbor illegal aliens and become “sanctuaries”. Likewise they flaunted federal law in legalizing pot. When liberty-oriented people declare themselves zones where federal gun or pollution laws don’t apply, often the left goes into an apoplectic fit.

Maybe it is time to convene an Article V convention of the States to clarify, refine and improve the role of the federal government has with respect to the States and the People.

On my part, much of federal over-reach comes mainly because when you can create as much money as you need out of thin air, you can fund as many bureaucrats as you would like to have. Near-infinite money buys near-infinite government. Thus, the first order of business must be to severely limit the ability of the federal government to spend more than it takes in.

New Motto for the corrupt lying Socialist EPA:

“EPA, causing poor people to freeze in the dark, one person
at a time!”

P.S. “Please believe our global warming scam even though we are heading into a new Ice Age.

Thanks! XOXO,

Your fiend (sic),
The EPA”

Freeze in the dark, peasant scum!

They don't want you to freeze in the dark. They want you to vote

Fortunately, these days you can do both!
