Though some may think Former Florida Governor Jeb Bushs positions on amnesty and Common Core make him a liberal, Bush claimed to Iowans on Friday that there is nothing in his record that would suggest that he is a moderate.
In an interview with Radio Iowas O. Kay Henderson before boarding his plane to travel to Iowa, Bush, who has declared that illegal immigration is an act of love, touted his record of reform while he was governor. But he never mentioned that he also supported granting in-state tuition to DREAMers and drivers licenses to illegal immigrants as Floridas governor. Bush did not regret having done so at this years Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
I cut taxes every year, totaling $19 billion in eight years. I reduced the state governments workforce by 13,000. I eliminated Affirmative Action as a policy in our admissions and procurement and replaced it with a system that did not discriminate but yielded better results for African-Americans and Hispanics, Bush said, selling himself as a strong conservative. We created the first statewide voucher program in the United States. We had the greatest gains in learning of any state for a period of time and were still one on the national leaders.
When Henderson asked Bush about conservative voters believing he was too moderate, Bush mentioned that he took on the trial bar, the teachers union.
You know, theres nothing in my record that would suggest that Im a moderate, Bush said. And it is a record of accomplishment and its certainly a conservative record in a purple state.

“Way too many people believe Republicans are anti-immigrant, anti-woman, anti-science, anti-gay, anti-worker,” Bush said during his speech at the Ronald Reagan Dinner at the Conservative Political Action Conference in suburban Washington.”
That’s right, Jeb. Legitimize the bogus liberal narrative. Spoken like a true GOPe loser. This is right up there with the BS “compassionate conservatism” as if it was something to apologize for.
Which of course is, neither.
No RINO infiltrators either.
OK, Jeb, RINO it is.
The Booshies are LIBERAL losers. The US does not need a 3rd Booshie disaster.
Jeb Bush is John Boehner in the white house
I bet if Obumma has any unfinished business left, and Jeb is elected he could just leave a list behind and Jeb and John will get it passed. Both are Fraudulent Republicans.
He's a radical corporate globalist power freak.
Awesome!
Jebbie is right — he’s actually to the left of being a moderate.
Jeb’s scurrilous critics are back to their usual underhanded tactic of using his actual statements against him.
According to Ann Coulter the top 15% of the Florida ghetto schools qualify for college whereas in Texas it is only top 10%. It is still affirmative action and in many cases is letting lower scored minorities from bad schools qualify over suburban whites with higher scores.
You can’t tell me you can compare the top 10% of urban school and compare with a suburban school.
Jeb is being honest here. He is not a moderate. He is a liberal.
Well except amnesty and common core. LOL!
All Jeb would have to do is tell the Iowans he would double the corn subsidy.
He’s a turd way globalist like pops.
Since effin when?
You made clear over the last year you were going to run as a moderate and do whatever you could to win without acceding to the conservative imperative.
Jack ass Lie Yuh!
J
Substitute “...I’ve got a brain.” for “...I’m a moderate.” and I’ll agree.
Go home, Jeb. You won’t make it past the primaries unless they are OPEN primaries where Democrats can vote you in.
