Their lives are forever changed because of what they experienced and saw yesterday. The image of the children being carried from the house will never go away, Clark said.
I normally wouldn’t post an article such as this, but the story tears at my heart-strings more than usual. More importantly there is a fundraiser set up for the family at the local National Bank referred to in the article. (Also a GoFundMe account set up.)
FR...if it’s not appropriate to post and point out a fundraiser for such a tragedy, please forgive me. If this article needs to be pulled I’ll understand and not post such in the future.
I encourage going to the link/URL and reading the entire article.
I’ve been to Galax. Nice little town. Prayers for the family and responders.

A while back, the Old Fiddler’s Convention organizers used Delp’s Photography to take all the photos at the event held every August in Galax. Wonder if it is the same family. Nonetheless, a very sad event.
It very, well could be. There is a state trooper with last name Delp in the area. If not mistaken same 1st name as the children’s father. Could be the grandfather, uncle, or coincidence, but seems from the local news the family is well known and liked.
I live about 45 minutes from Galax, so not sure/not familiar personally with the family.
FYI, just went to Delp photography website. The photographer’s name is Sandy Worrell. In the Go Fund Me page it’s mentioned the children’s mother is named Sandy...so yes....same family.
