The lawsuit brought against the state claims sheriffs are faced with a "crisis of conscience"
A group of sheriffs will file a lawsuit Thursday against Colorado for its legal marijuana law.
The lawsuit says legalizing pot on a state level while its still illegal on a federal one creates a crisis of conscience, USA Today reports.
Colorado is asking every peace officer to violate their oath, Larimer County, Colo., Sheriff Justin Smith, the lead plaintiff in the suit, said. What were being forced to do
makes me ineligible for office. Which constitution are we supposed to uphold?

Your opinion is duly noted.
Once again you equate soda pop and junk food with marijuana.
No matter how many times you’ve been told, there is a distinction.
No reply?
and anyway most stoners just want to be left alone.
Yea, that's just how the Homosexuals started out too, Gov out of their bedroom.
Now look where we are
Because sex perverts insist on affirmation, therefore other groups do too? You probably should have thought that one more clearly.
An individual's productivity belongs to himself and not the government.
Really?
Yes - although communists disagree.
I asked a reasonable question
And I answered it (free clue: "Yes") - while ignoring your snotty crack about "mouthing off another bumper sticker slogan". You can explain how a noncommunist can disagree that an individual's productivity belongs to himself and not the government - or you can keep pissing and moaning. Your call.
Thanks. We're all not dope fiends suffering from "Reefer Madness". The only thing I'm "mad" about is the continuing of repressive "laws" that keep me from legally purchasing "legal" drugs that ease my pain. Let me tell you. it sucks.

Opposite - YOU'RE the one who dragged in weight issues and insurance premiums. Shame your argument blew up in your face.
so if the fed defines X and the state defines X a different way this can be applied to other matters like: obamacare, marriage, etc.
see Alabama.
You have no idea what I deal with and your shitty remarks about me are just that. Ignorant shitiness.
I go to the doctor when needed and always pay CASH. Take your sanctimonious crap elsewhere.

And there you go with that childish Communist thing again.
Since when has any law stopped you from getting high, there's always glue and paint.
Given how stoners behave that is a fair comparison.
Private employers still have drug testing and any employer involved in delivery, driving, heavy equipment, etc. is wise not to hire stoners. Their liability insurance thanks them.
liability insurance.
stoners are toxic to profits.
I weigh 140 lbs and I'm 64 years old.

How is losing a job to drug testing a positive on productivity?
I never said nor implied it was; you must be debating the voices in your head.
And there you go with that childish Communist thing again.
So you've chosen pissing and moaning - noted.
Since when has any law stopped you from getting high, there's always glue and paint.
Another piece of evidence for the futility of anti-pot laws - thanks!
Could you please explain how being stoned is related to productivity?
Colorado is a testament to a failed experiment.
Intoxicated driving by stoners is up at least 30%. Crime to support the stoners is up. The get rich pot sellers are closing up. (so much for those seminars)
On the plus side, Meridol is being made into the public’s awareness and provides a stake in the heart of the medical fraud of pot use.
That's your agenda driven opinion based on being a stoner.
I disagree with you.
Source please? Also, it should seem obvious that users of smokeable drugs could simply do what tobacco smokers do and step outside.
Could you please explain how being stoned is related to productivity?
I don't see how your question relates to anything I've posted - but at least you've taken a break from insults and whining, so: Being stoned away from work is irrelevant to productivity, while being stoned at work is sometimes detrimental, sometimes irrelevant, and rarely if ever helpful.
Who does your productivity belong to - you, or someone else?
OK, let’s be consistent and outlaw all such substances like alcohol, nicotine, sugar and activities fraught with needless dangers such as sky diving, snow skiing and mountain climbing.
Is that your idea of freedom?
Another piece of evidence for the futility of anti-pot laws - thanks!
That's your agenda driven opinion based on being a stoner.
I disagree with you.
Intelligent FReepers know who has the better of the argument.
If that's a serious question, if you're holding forth with a presence of authority and you ask if Wikipedia is biased, I'm sorry but we're done.
