This morning on CNN Ben Carson was asked if homosexuality is a choice and he didnt shy away from answering it, saying he absolutely believes it is a choice. When asked why, he suggested that one example of this being a choice is that some people who go into prison straight and come out gay. If its not a choice then how could that happen?
Watch:
As I said, heads are exploding over his comments. If you just search Google News youll find dozens of articles already written on it. And most of them are negative, as you might expect.

Quite a few conservative heads are exploding too.
4-5 previous threads. Many Freepers are upset with Dr. Carson for saying this.
Todd Akin Redux.
The homosexual community is like low-fat milk: less than 2%.
And it is the height of stupidity to compel the vast majority of a population to cringe and scrape to the hysterical, petulant demands of a statistically insignificant fringe.
Homosexuality serves no evolutionary purpose.
Obama said it was a lifestyle choice and I don’t remember any outrage.
I guess it just depends on who is saying things - not what they say.
” Many Freepers are upset with Dr. Carson for saying this.”
Carson nailed this one, for a change.
Agreed. It makes him sound about as credible as Michelle Bachmann. This kind of garbage isn’t Presidential. It’s beneath anyone that has a serious concern for the welfare of this country.
There are about 10,000 issues more important than whether people are born gay or become gay. He never should have even gone there because no he looks like some sort of meat head trying to find a new hobby.
YOU ARE BORN GAY! But your gender is optional...
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Perhaps it does in that it's nature's way of preventing the persistence of unnatural liberalism.
Good, let’s have the medical debate, and let’s ask why for over 100 years it was classified as an illness and now it’s not?
Let’s review the mountain of scientific evidence out there, twin studies...gene studies. Where is the scientific proof?
Get some psychiatrists out there to give their views. They see the aftermath of this on a daily basis, the heartache.
Ben Carson is a brave man, but may be the only person who can open this up for debate.
Yeah, its not presidential. But I’m glad Dr. Carson said it.
Carson is like Trump, Rudy G., Palin, Rove or other talking heads who can make these inflammatory (but very true) statements that piss off the dems.
More power to them.
Unless you consider "culling the herd" a valid purpose.
I don’t remember making a conscious choice of my sexual preference.
I see this posted daily on numerous sites yet I have never witnessed a liberal who actually gave a tinker's damn about what a conservative says or writes.
I have certainly never seen one of their heads explode.
Right. It’s physically impossible.
Alcoholics don’t make a conscious choice to be alcoholics, either. But they can make a conscious choice not to drink alcohol.
Well, if that’s the reason, then I’m all for it! :)
LIberal heads EXPLODE over Ben Carson saying being gay is a CHOICE
I thought libtards were pro choice!?!
As a scientist he understands that if homsexuality were truly an hereditary trait, it would have disappeared from the gene pool long ago because homos can’t reproduce and pass the trait along to their offspring.
Thus by scientific definition, human characteristis that are not hereditary are learned. In other words, the result of a conscious choice.
To me it’s always kinda been like, “why are fat people fat,” because they were born that way, they are just big boned, family history....yada yada yada. The reality is most people are fat because of what they stuff in their mouth...just like the deviants...they are gay because of what they....well, you get the picture.
