WASHINGTON – The computer server that transmitted and received Hillary Clinton's emails -- on a private account she used exclusively for official business when she was secretary of state -- traced back to an Internet service registered to her family's home in Chappaqua, New York, according to Internet records reviewed by The Associated Press.
The highly unusual practice of a Cabinet-level official physically running her own email would have given Clinton, the presumptive Democratic presidential candidate, impressive control over limiting access to her message archives. It also would distinguish Clinton's secretive email practices as far more sophisticated than some politicians, including Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin, who were caught conducting official business using free email services operated by Microsoft Corp. and Yahoo Inc.

Most Internet users rely on professional outside companies, such as Google Inc. or their own employers, for the behind-the-scenes complexities of managing their email communications. Government employees generally use servers run by federal agencies where they work.
In most cases, individuals who operate their own email servers are technical experts or users so concerned about issues of privacy and surveillance they take matters into their own hands.
Clinton has not described her motivation for using a private email account -- hdr22(at)clintonemail.com, which traced back to her own private email server registered under an apparent pseudonym -- for official State Department business.

The Clinton's are a couple of the most corrupt, self serving, power hungry, greedy politicians on the planet.
The book Unlimited Access was written back when Billy / Hilly were occupying the White House. Written by a 30yr FBI or Secret Service agent that quite the White House detail out of disgust.
Any questions regarding who the Clinton's really are...read this book. In fact, I let someone borrow my copy many moons ago...never got it back. Think I'll order another.
Wow…talk about going to great lengths to avoid transparency! Hillary takes law-breaking secrecy to a whole new level.
This is so willful I do not know how she extricates herself from this.
Here is what I expect:
A delay in Hillary announcing her presidential campaign.
A few, second-tier candidates announce presidential exploratory committees.
Hillary declines to run, citing health reasons.
The dam opens and all of the usual suspects announce their candidacies.
Given the availability of regular personal email accounts (eg gmail, hotmail, etc) and official government email (that she should have been using) the only three reasons for going to the trouble and expense of running your own email server are 1) you're a computer geek and you think it'd be fun and an interesting technical challenge. 2) You plan on selling access to your server and competing with gmail et. al. 3) you want and need that complete control over the archiving and erasure.
Any doubts as to why hitlary did it? Absolutely no doubt there were things in those emails that would have destroyed her public life and/or put her in prison. No other plausible reason for her actions.
Obama not taking action to clean this up means he doesn’t care about corruption... Business as usual for the Democrat elite. Until a special prosecutor is appointed with bi-partisan approval this whole thing is a joke and Obama is laughing at every honest person in this country...

How can she afford setting up her own server, she’s dead broke?
The fact that the domain was registered the day she was nominated tells me 2 things.
1. She knew she would be confirmed at any cost.
2. She knew she would be breaking laws once confirmed.
Maybe not. The MX records point to MX Logic. That means she's using them as a front-end mail relay, and probably AV and spam filtering. They will have logs of all the emails that passed through their system on their way to, and possibly from Hillary's mail server, and Hillary can't wipe those.
How many email accounts is Obama using under his 80 or 90 aliases ?
Well, unless you're Hillary Clinton, who broke the law on federal gruberment records retention, Bill Clinton, who lied in a federal judge's face, or Jon Corzine, who feloniously co-mingled shareholder funds, or Charley Rangel, Lois Lerner or any number of powerful and connected unprosecuted felons.
Probably this criminal behavior is common among the political criminal class.
