Tim Scott drives liberals crazy. The black senator from South Carolina doesnt fit the lefts narrative about what a conservative should look like, and the mainstream media often try to criticize or trip up the lawmaker.
Thats exactly what happened on MSNBC, where host Thomas Roberts tried to imply that Scott doesnt care about the poor.
You say youre concerned about kids that are growing up in the wrong zip code and, like yourself, had a tough start on the way out, said Roberts.
But if we look at agencies that are following some of your voting records, they have concern. And the NAACP has given you an F on their annual scorecard.
Tim Scott turned the question right back at the liberal journalist, and challenged him about how well liberalism has worked for black communities.

Top 20 most dangerous cities all run by liberals. For years.
You have to love it when a liberal gets impaled with an undeniable fact.
love it
Fantastic video clip, Sen. Tim Scott nailed it.
I like he kept perfect composure while being attacked.
Democrats founded the KKK in order to put down uppity negroes. In their heart of hearts they greatly miss that organization.
If we take statistics from the 1970s to the 21st-century, what we see very clearly is that poverty's gone from 11% to 15%. These are classic examples of the policies of the left have not worked.
I will tell you, that if I have an "F" on the NAACP scorecard, it's because I believe progress has to be made and the government is not the answer for progress.
I was a kid growing up in poverty. I had a mentor who was a Chick-fil-A operator named John Moniz who taught me that the brilliance of the American economy happens through business ownership and entrepreneurial spirit.
So whether you own the business or not, success is possible if you A) have a good education, B) have a strong work ethic. For the average person who can work, these two key components come together and form a foundation. That is the way that you eradicate poverty.
All the social programs that we've had ... We have the largest government we've ever had in the history of the country. We have more nonprofit organizations working on the same issue. And yet we have higher percentage of people living in poverty.
The key, it seems like, is individual freedom and economic opportunity, fusing those together in an agenda that focuses on education seems to lead forward.
This is clearly the case in D.C., where the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship has produced higher percentage of kids going to college, produced 91% of the kids graduating from high school versus 56% for those who are simply in everyday schools in D.C., I want that to be the case for every child."
Scott rightly notes that the problem isnt that we haven’t done enough. It’s that government is not capable of “solving” the problem. Only individual liberty can do that.
Every time I eat in a Chick-Fil-A I speak to the manager about the great job they are doing training the next generation of American workers. Chick-Fil-A has a great record of training workers to be the best. Tim Scott is an example!

It was along the lines of: The NAACP doesn't like you, you voted against black farmers, you voted against the black caucus, black this, black that -- so: why don't you care about poor kids??
Hello? Are blacks and poor people synonymous? That's the tyranny of soft expectations right there, Mr. Liberal.

I’m so excited - we’re getting a Chick-Fil-A not too far from me at the end of this month. Can’t wait to try it - I’ve never had any of their food; and, I heard so many good things about the food and service, especially when the conservative anti-boycott was going on.
God bless Tim Scott! What a great American!
2. Enjoy the great service from polite, well trained workers who are very service oriented.
