The Obama administrations Department of Justice shut down an attempt to force the Internal Revenue Service to search for Lois Lerners missing emails at off-site storage facilities.
The IRS never looked for Lerners backup email tapes at the West Virginia storage facility where they were being housed. Treasury deputy inspector general Timothy Camus told Congress that the IRS never asked IT professionals at the New Martinsville, W.V. storage site for the backup tapes. Camus only found the backup tape for Lerners missing 2011 emails about two weeks ago.
But the Obama administration knew that emails were stored at off-site facilities, and even shut down a legal request to send somebody to go look for them.
We said in court that there are off-site servers where all IRS emails are stored, lawyer Cleta Mitchell told The Daily Caller. Mitchell represents the voter-ID group True the Vote in its lawsuit against the IRS over improper targeting. Shortly after it was revealed last summer that the IRS was missing Lerners emails, Mitchell petitioned U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton for an independent forensic examiner to be appointed to investigate the missing emails.

is it getting to the point where someone in Congress can actually take notice yet?
Good cartoon!
I watched the video at your link.
From what perspective was that taken?
I’m assuming that ISIS was the target?
Who was on the attack?
wow , really we could not imagine..jeeez..
Huge surprise.
WOOHOO! I sure enjoyed it! My money says they weren’t hitting empty buildings.
I’ve been hearing about this attempt to take back Tikrit all day but this is the first footage I’ve seen. I hope there are a lot of ISIS freaks there because it looks like they’ll all be turned to pink mist by the Iraqis.

The Iraqis are trying to take back Tikrit from IS. Been on the news today...er, yesterday now. The perspective was the Iraqis' and yes, IS was the target. I hope there were a lot of bulls eyes!
Any honorable statesmen would be prosecuting this criminality to the fullest extent possible.
Nixon would be appalled. He never thought of stuff like this.
Thanks.
I got some of it by running the script on the page through an online translator. But of course a great deal of it came back as gibberish.
The word “Tikrit” stood out however.
Thanks for filling in by answering those questions....most know I get very busy looking for accurate photos etc. so it’s hard to stop and answer...Freepers generally pick it up for me so thanks much.
Yeah, the translators had a time with it, didn’t they? LOL! What gibberish.
I’d heard about the attacks on tv several times but hadn’t seen any video footage til this. Doesn’t look to me like they care about taking names. They’re out to kick some IS butt. I wish them luck!
Sorry I didn’t get to you on that....but I see radu got it...
There ‘s been a real battle for Tikrit as you now know....remarkably Iran is fighting with Iraq’s military and the US is not part of this battle...other than some softening up that’s been on going in Mosul which is the ultimate battle yet to fight...that will be after they’ve taken Tikirt.
The video was fierce and “awed” me though it was from the Fars News....pretty intense and neither Iran nor Iraq are held back as our troops have been so often by stupid rules of engagement....these guys will fight no matter how bloody...to win!
You’re welcome, caww. I didn’t know if you were gone for the night or busy.
Thanks for posting the link. That made my day. Getting ready to hit the hay and will go to sleep with a smile on my face. LOL!
The performance of Iraqi troops and air-force jets in the battle of Tikrit will indicate their preparedness for the much tougher fight in Mosul. Urban warfare is brutal and slow, so Tikrit will be a litmus test for both the fighting skills and the stamina of the Iraqi forces.
Early reports indicate that Shia irregulars are leading the assault on Tikrit, under the supervision of Hadi al-Amiri, nominally Iraqs transport minister, but better known as the leader of the Badr Organization, an Iran-backed militia notorious for brutal torture and murder of Sunnis.
Apparently unsatisfied with having a surrogate in the battlefield, Tehran has also despatched to Iraqs Salahuddin provinceof which Sunni-majority Tikrit is a partthe notorious Qassem Suleimani, the general who supervises most of Irans proxies, from Hizbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza, to the Houthis in Yemen.
One of the worlds most dangerous men, Suleimani has had the freedom of Iraq for over a year, building and reinforcing Shia militias that have been murdering and terrorizing Sunnis with almost as much enthusiasmif not with quite as much efficiencyas ISIL has been slaughtering civilians.
Suleimanis presence in Salahuddin is especially infuriating for many in Mosul, a city that prides itself as the birthplace of Iraqi military heroes. He is a veteran of the eight-year Iran-Iraq war, and is seen to have Iraqi blood on his hands. That he should now be effectively calling some of the shots in the Iraqi military campaign is a humiliating reminder of Baghdads subservience to the old enemy.
Perhaps it is to stay out of any sectarian conflict that the US military is keeping the Tikrit campaign at an arms length: It is not providing any air support to the Iraqi troops.

Nixon would not be proud. That is a stupid thing to say.
