The FCC passed the internet regulating net neutrality rules on Thursday and questions abound. But there are some things we do know, and heres a summary:
In the midst of all the clamor, hoopla, and discussions, there were two entertaining things that occurred this week related to the controversy.
Firstly, a poster mocking FCC head Tom Wheeler appeared all over Washington D.C. The poster reads Boot Licker, making reference to how Wheelers followed the administrations heavy-handed lead on the regulation.
It says Obamas B*tch in the background. They were put up near Wheelers Georgtown home, around the Mall, and in front of the FCCs downtown headquarters.
Secondly, in response to the vote, Verizon published its own castigation of the new regulations, saying it was a throwback to 1930s-style archaic regulation. And they did it in Morse code (with a link to printed English):
For the same reason that Obungo's first job as president was to hide his entire life, including all education records from public scrutiny- by executive order.
The magnitude of his incompetence has yet to be revealed.
You can do local using minimal equipment but you can’t do long haul without using some of the big boys.
The government isn't who you think it is. It isn't de Gaulle. It's really something awful.
nothing this vile obama administration does is to increase persona freedoms,
this is ultimately all about control, power and being able to influence and shape any and all online narratives to follow the state message or else face consequences,
Being as the FCC didn’t have the authority to do this in the first place, a new Republican president’s FCC appointees changing the regs will set a precedent that now solidifies an authority that they did not have. I won’t hold my breath that Congress will do anything. Hopefully court challenges will occur and be successful, but I won’t be surprised if the results aren’t any different than the Healthcare debacle of SCOTUS in 2012. I haven’t been able to enjoy surfing the Net since I heard about this on Rush last Tuesday. And now add to this the bullet grab thing, I am so worried for my children and grandchildren.
I wouldn’t be surprised if George Soros hasn’t bought off Boehner and McConnell and that’s why they keep voting with the Dems and Obama.
“You can do a local short haul version of the net. Something for CW2.”
Yeah, I decided to keep my old 56K modem a few months ago, and to brush-up on how to set up UUCP; just in case. It may come sooner than we think.
Tyranny on the march.
if george soros wants it you can bet its anti christian, anti american and marxist.
Very similar to the NewsMax article that I was reading only because it was one of the sites as part of the startup homepages on one of my browsers:
