A top political nemesis of President Vladimir Putin was shot and killed early Saturday in central Moscow, Russian police said, one day before an opposition rally was scheduled to take place.
Boris Nemtsov, 55, a former deputy prime minister, was shot four times from a passing car as he was walking on a bridge just outside the Kremlin. Interior Ministry spokeswoman Yelena Alexeyeva told reporters on the scene that Nemtsov was walking with a female acquaintance, a Ukrainian citizen, when a vehicle drove up and unidentified assailants shot him dead. The woman wasn't hurt.

Hey...do those two guys on either side of him look like “protection? The one guy has a black strap looking thing over his shoulder..maybe?..and they both look pretty serious???
Don’t know. Surfer looking boy is pretty skinning to be hired muscle. Shaved head white shirt guy has that, “I hurt you” union goon look going on.
Er...Skinny too...
A few days ago I heard about a demonstration in Moscow supporting the rebels in Ukraine. I think they said 38,000 people. It will be interesting to see how many come out for the demonstration tomorrow in Moscow to support the assassinated Russian. Today’s news reports suggest perhaps 15,000. I hope they get over 100,000. That would send a message to dictator Putin.
Have to comment on that Horse. Beautiful animal. Had a horse, almost exactly same. I named it Cobra.. more for his temperament.
I looked up Litvinenko and found out all kinds of strange connections, including bin Laden’s deputy, Zwahiri. Quite a read.

Andrew Breitbart.
Good remark versus some of those who give out disinformation here.
I think his popularity might have had a chance to change. Nemtsov was very popular until Yeltsin made the government he was in a scapegoat for Russia’s 1998 financial crises. In fact the crises was of course after effect of 1997 Asia financial crises at the time when Russia didn’t have massive oil revenues.
Crude oil averaged $18.64 for 1997 and $11.91 for 1998. There was little that any cabinet could do. (Data is Illinois Crude as I had it at hand, but it is roughly the same for all crude).
Putin on the other hand has rode record oil price boom, but his propaganda is trying to sell it as his genius and governments at the time of low prices being “evil”. I think if oil prices stay where they are then Russian economy is in deep trouble.
Whatever excuses Putin comes up with I suspect they will weaken the arguments behind vilifying the cabinet that had to work with $11.91 oil price.

Likewise, updating: Nemtsov murder caught on tape? Video may offer clues:
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/03/01/nemtsov-murder-caught-on-tape-video-may-offer-clues/
“According to the BBC, footage airing on Russian television showed a white Lada Priora car in the area; still, there is no clear signal the vehicle was involved in Nemtsovs murder. One part of the film shows someone running in the road alongside the Great Moskvoretsky Bridge and jumping into the waiting car, which then sped off.”
Sketchy video from about, 100 yards or so of the shooting. I can’t see anything myself so I’m not posting this here as if it is groundbreaking.
No, just laughing that you think this is an episode of the Sopranos, fool.
Looks more like a pony. Or is Putin that short?
Sopranos? I’ve heard it boyrude, but sorry I’m not real familiar queer town TV episodes you might watch. I was just never interested in sitcoms or TV dramas. In fact I find that entire crowd disgusting.
Just a crazy hunch boyrude, but I would think anyone wanting to get away with murder and conspiracy to commit murder would not view witnesses as being part of a good alibi or positive career enhancement.
But if ya believe real career murderers who put real bullets into real people’s heads don’t care about real witnesses/evidence, I certainly will not try to convince you otherwise.
That part of your comment betrays that you are unhinged. So, what? Are you a Paultard, paleo, peacenik, or Putinista? 'Fess up.
Cheers...
