Senate PASSES 'clean' bill funding DHS through end of Sept w/o immig riders, 68-31. Bill now goes to the House where its fate is uncertain.

If the house returns it with an amendment stripping funding for amnesty then the reconciliation Bill cannot be filibustered. So if Boehner holds the line then Obama will have to be the one to shut down DHS.

The House will pass a stopgap continuing resolution funding DHS for 3 weeks and the Senate will go along with that. The purpose is to see what the courts (5th Circuit/SCOTUS) will do on the appeals.
