NATIONAL HARBOR, Md.Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker electrified the CPAC conservative audience on Thursday afternoon by asserting the victories he has achieved in his home state can be achieved on a national level.
...Today in Washington, we have a president who thinks we grow the economy by growing Washington,...We believe in an America that is growing the economy in cities and towns all across America.
.....true freedom and prosperity does not come from the mighty hand of the government,..It comes from empowering people to live their own lives and to determine their own destinies..."
...there is a reason we celebrate the Fourth of July instead of April 15, because in America we celebrate our independence from the government not our dependence upon the government.
.....Today, the test scores of the students in our state are the second best in the country. Our graduation rates and our reading scores are up over the past four years, because we put the power back into the hands of the taxpayers and the people they elect to run their school boards....
...We were a state that was taxed and taxed and taxed. After four years as governor, Im proud to say weve reduced the tax burden by nearly $2 billion,..by 2016, homeowners in the state will be paying less in property taxes than they paid in 2010.
...Weve led the way with lawsuits to get regulatory reform,...We defunded Planned Parenthood and signed pro-life legislation...In Wisconsin, you now need a voter ID to cast a ballot.......

“...because we put the power back into the hands of the taxpayers and the people they elect to run their school boards.
Only partially true - there are still WAY too many Socialists sitting on our School Boards all over the state!
You’ll find that to be true in every state...
If Scott Walker gets elected, maybe he’ll be the American version of Marcus Aurelius. Things move faster now though, I doubt America would hold on for another 2 or 3 hundred years like the Roman Empire did after Marcus Aurelius.
Plus, his other unforgivable sins of recently accepting the endorsements of Big-Biz industries that support comprehensive immigration reform, aka amnesty. These would be the Dairy and Restaurant Associations that use cheap labor at the expense of unemployed Wisconsin workers.
Hey, I am a former Sconnie that voted for Walker. I’m not ‘fan’ of his. He never came to our Tea Party rallies at the Wisconsin Capitol in Madison when we conservatives battled the union thug lynch mobs in 2011. Yet, he ‘expects’ Tea Party conservatives to vote for him at the national level? Huh?
And I know that many other conservatives in Wisconsin initially voted for him just because we were sick of Doyle. All Walker is is an expedient ‘tool’ that many conservatives used to resist the liberal ideology that permeates the Isthmus, from Bascom Hill to the Mendota Terrace. His inclination to still support illegal invader heroes like Chavez is evident of his inability to lead a nation. If he becomes President, he will become a Great Lakes Mistake as he pivots to welcoming illegal invaders with amnesty, like Jeb Bush would do. So I don’t trust politicians who would sell out the unemployed, the underemployed, and the employed citizens of America.
However, I do trust Cruz.
And that is why Cruz will get my vote as Conservative President of the United States.
But he doesn’t have a college degree. < /s>
How come you’ve just found FR?
You “talk” like you think Tea Party people talk - but it’s over the top - so I’m suspicious of your motives.
Walker will have to save America from ruin and then try to make it great again. First things first.
Excellent, albeit depressing, point. It sure won't be salvageable after 8 years of the Hildebeest.
MSM and Dems are salivating that Walker screwed up — equating terrorists and hecklers/protesters.
==
One would think it was as horrible as 57 states, a tornado that will 10,000 when it hit a town of 1,000 in wesk Kansas, etc.
==
MSM and Dems finally got a Walker soundbite they are trying to make into a ‘macaca’ issue. They are wasting no time in spreading and smearing Walker’s comparison.
YES! Anyone criticizing Walker for drawing a comparison between his staring down 100,000 unionistas and Obama and Kerry handling ISIS wasn’t here during the seige of the Capital in Madison.
True, there were no decapitations, but there was bloodshed and plenty of threats of death against his family and the legislators.
“You talk like you think Tea Party people talk - but its over the top - so Im suspicious of your motives.”
We have a couple of recent sign-ups to FR who joined within two weeks of each other, claim they’re from Wisconsin and constantly trash Walker. I’m suspicious that they’re paid Soros hacks. Soros hires propagandists from PR firms all over the US, and one of their tasks is to infiltrate conservative sites and spew disinformation. We ran across BDS Soros trolls - Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS ) against Israel - constantly when we did contract work for Israeli companies.
Hopefully FR management is watching this.
I take your profiling of me as a “Tea Party” member as a compliment. I didn’t just armchair my support for the Gadsden Flag. I personally lived ‘Don’t Tread On Me’ against the SEIU purple shirt thugs that roamed the inner square of the Capitol trying to intimidate us conservatives at the Tea Party rallies in 2011. This was ground zero for me to make my stand against a liberal ideology that threatens my financial livelihood, my freedoms, and my love for God and America.
And right back at you, I’m suspicious of your reason to support a politician that will in all probability advocate for comprehensive immigration reform, aka defacto amnesty, when all that is needed is for our existing laws be enforced, the borders secured, and cheap labor businesses be punished severely.
I’ve lurked here for almost a decade. But the ‘thrill up my leg for Walker’ posters here on FR are wrong about my former governor. I was irritated by all the Romney supporters and their ‘lesser-of-two-evils’ talk during the last go around. This time, I’m not standing silent anymore. I witnessed what happened in Wisconsin during the union protests. I voted for conservative ideals when I voted for Walker. But while my principles haven’t changed, the politician that I voted for went from being a leader to being a sell-out for the Chamber of Commerce cheap labor crowd.
Will check later thank you.
