Since he’s a public figure, he is going to have to prove in court that he is not a “dickhead”. The burden of proof is on him.

I thought Lindros was libel proof. Laws must be different in Canada.
But, you know, he did give $1 million of his money to a concussion related charity.

"One year, much later in his career when he was with the Rangers, I ended up getting him on eight minor penalties that season. I caught some heat for it from John Davidson on the Rangers' broadcasts, but the truth of the matter was this: I did NOT go out of my way to 'invent' penalties on Lindros -- or any player -- but I wasn't going to give that guy a break on anything borderline that I might have let slide with a player who had gained acceptability with me. The last part of the sentence contradicts the first.
He didn't like the guy so he went out of his way to nail him on everything he could.
This is normally termed official harassment.

Dang, is this the most recent ice hockey thread? The LA Kings, reigning NHL Stanley Cup Champions are facing dire straits right now, losing to Edmonton 3-1 with about 12 minutes left. A loss may not eliminate the Kings but it will make it very tough for them with 2 more games left.
