Since most of that crap is made in China, the government knows what spyware is in them.

Once they reverse engineer a device they don’t need to purchase the original any more.

This might be a good thing. We could see some manufacturing come back to the US. Lord knows we have plenty of area in the heartland where sprawling factories could be created.

They get the companies to setup factories then they start making copies of the products. They no longer need those foolish companies.

Any American company that thought they could get by on the cheap by going to China deserves to get screwed.
When China slams the door shut on their products, look for a bunch of them to go under because they neglected the home market.

Old news but somehow just making the mainstream media. . . which apparently has caused the price of Apple Stock to drop by 2.5% today. China's government actually announced this move back in December and it really is based on wanting to support local phone makers, mostly XIAOMI (pronounced Show ME), and not the unsupported NSA rumors of easy access to devices, which occurs at the carrier levels, which are under the thumb of the Chines Government already. Apple had already agreed that all Chinese iPhone data had to be stored at carrier level server farms INSIDE China instead of the Apple Server Farms off shore. The Chinese Government is also going to be using their own fork of Android on the phones they will allow to be used by government workers, entirely separate from any other Android operating systems. This was announced sometime last year prior to the prohibition of Apple and other non-Chinese made cell phones by government agencies, so that announcement is pretty anti-climactic. PING!
Apple Ping!
