Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walkers campaign is using mainstream media gotcha questions regarding Barack Obama to start an email fundraising campaign.
As The Hill reports, Walker has drawn scrutiny for refusing to say whether he agrees with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giulianis comments questioning whether President Obama loves America. Giulianis remarks came at an event attended by Walker.

Walker impresses me more and more every day. He governs as a conservative buy he plays politics like a devoted liberal. None of that “gentlemanly engagement rules” crap the establishment plays by.
Hell, IF Romney had gone after Obama half as hard as he went after the competition in the primaries 5 million GOP votes might not have stayed home on election day in 2012.
First we had liberal heads a ‘sploding when Rudy made his remarks. Next the libs wet themselves with anger that Walker didn’t fall into their trap.
Now Walker is making brownie points.
Just BONUS!
Instead of walking them back - he should have highlighted them and made it a key campaign agenda. They were TRUE. And I would have supported him a great deal more.
Ain’t nothing like beating a liberal and their own game.
He’s doing better; he’s not playing their game, he’s making them play his.
Like it even more. I hope we get to see heads explode!!!!
He’s taking a card from Newt’s playbook. Attack the media. Expose who they are and what their agenda is. Doing that is what won Newt SC and it only took Mittens throwing everything at him to stop Newt’s rise in FL.
I'd disagree. 47% was an attack on anyone who's ever drawn a government check, ranging from civil servants, laid-off workers to SS pensioners. Between 47%, "like being able to fire people" and the Detroit bailout WSJ, Romney alienated key Rust Belt constituencies to enlarge his margins in solidly red states. And still lost the popular vote by 5%. Walker's response was, at worst, an attack on Obama.
Read the 47 percent remark:
There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That's an entitlement. The government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. And I mean the president starts off with 48, 49...he starts off with a huge number. These are people who pay no income tax. Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax. So our message of low taxes doesn't connect. So he'll be out there talking about tax cuts for the rich. ... My job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives. What I have to do is convince the 5–10% in the center that are independents, that are thoughtful, that look at voting one way or the other depending upon in some cases emotion, whether they like the guy or not.
I agree with Romney, and I would extend his *thoughts* to civil servants, laid-off workers and SS pensioners. But he should never have said it. The problem with these long-winded statements is that people only hear the sound-bites. Reagan never said 47%. He said welfare queen. Singular. Let's hope that Walker, like Reagan, understands that attacks on Democratic constituencies must be highly-focused.
My point is that Romney kept saying these things that, while true, were a death blow to his presidential prospects. He was saying things that a campaign analyst should be saying to him, but he should not be repeating to the public. Most people aren’t news junkies. They won’t take the time to read a long-winded explanation. Heck, many Freepers don’t read the articles posted before forming a judgment (and commenting) and they’re a lot more interested than the average Joe.
Hes taking a card from Newts playbook. Attack the media. Expose who they are and what their agenda is.
Walker is cool as he makes liberal heads explode while throwing crap in the faces of the MSM. Newt was great at turning the tables on media. I hope Walker continues. MSM does not have the support of the American people. Now is the time to go in for the kill.
