There has been no shortage of news coverage—and criticism—regarding comments I made about President Obama at a political gathering last week in New York. My blunt language suggesting that the president doesn’t love America notwithstanding, I didn’t intend to question President Obama’s motives or the content of his heart. My intended focus really was the effect his words and his actions have on the morale of the country, and how that effect may damage his performance. Let me explain. (clip)........
Obviously, I cannot read President Obama’s mind or heart, and to the extent that my words suggested otherwise, it was not my intention. When asked last week whether I thought the president was a patriot, I said I did, and would repeat that. I bear him no ill will, and in fact think that his personal journey is inspiring and a testament to much of what makes this country great.
I hope and pray that President Obama can rise to the occasion and underscore America’s greatness as our history and values merit. If he does so, I will be the first to applaud him. But I can only be disheartened when I hear him claim, as he did last August, that our response to 9/11 betrayed the ideals of this country. When he interjected that “we tortured some folks,” he undermined those who managed successfully to protect us from further attack.

Giuliani also said on CBSNews:
“Giuliani also argued in the op-ed the president is too reluctant to stand firmly behind allies like Israel and Ukraine in the face of outside aggressors, and he nodded at concerns among some Republicans about the president’s refusal to use the phrase “Islamic extremism” to identify the threat posed by international terrorism.”
I do not know which side Giuliani is on in this case. Maybe he wants to run for president.
D*mn it Rudy...explain this claptrap to the young man in Georgia who has more guts than any politician around and who cited you for calling Obama out.
I sincerely hope I live long enough to see him ...CJ Pearson? (typing in the dark on a tablet... everyone is asleep, and the stupid screen keeps going upsidedown)... become president!
After I saw that I decided to write this young man a snail mail letter. I really believe that each generation brings more energy, a more uplifting state, for humanity, and that nowhere else in the world isthat done more than in the US, because of the beliefs we hold sancrosanct, generally, love of God, freedom, liberty, the right for all, men and women of all races and creeds, to determine their own destiny.
That young man expressed it so well. And he was taping himself...whenever he looked away (which wasnt often) he was looking at a handwritten note taped to his camera (I think). And then he got passionate towards the end...no reminders necessary.
And he is just 12!!!
Contrast that to the pampered, coached occupant of the White House.
Rudy, I am disappointed in you. You need to watch THAT video and make a statement. Backtrack to what you REALLY think but were apparently pushed to say you didnt mean it. You did mean it,, and so many think it.
OK thispost has taken me five times longer than normal (nails plus a tablet, etc.P Ugh.
Cj, if you read this... you have a 52 year old white woman from the chicago suburbs who lived in Denver and would vote for you in a heartbeat, if you run for prez and I can still mark a ballot. :) Thank God for young people like you. You brought a huge smile to my face and gave me hhope for the future of this country! :)

For the first time a high level Republican said what we all believe and needs to be said. Years ago.
