Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has erased U.S. Sen. Ted Cruzs strong lead among Texas Republicans in the volatile and still-developing race for the partys 2016 presidential nomination, according to the latest University of Texas/Texas Tribune Poll.
Cruzs 25 percentage-point lead over Walker in October has vanished: The Texan won the support of 20 percent of the states registered voters to Walkers 19 percent a statistical tie. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and author Ben Carson were tied at 9 percent, and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry was next at 8 percent.
Scott Walker is clearly breathing some of the oxygen on the right. The big takeaway here is that Ted Cruz is still a giant among Texas Republicans but he is not invulnerable, said Jim Henson, co-director of the poll and head of the Texas Politics Project at UT-Austin. Conservatives are willing to look at another candidate who fits that profile.
In the October UT/TT Poll, Cruz registered 27 percent of the support to Walkers 2 percent. Perry, now running fifth, was running second a few months ago.
This is the first real shakeup in this that we have seen, Henson said. Were now a year out from primary season. Its not really a race yet, but it is a shift, and people are probably starting to think about it.

Oh hell, the hardcore lib/dems are all wacists anyway.
The Text Crowd splittails will vote hitlery regardless.
Our assignment, if we choose to accept it, will be to make sure either Cruz or Walker beats hitlery like a rented mule.
Can’t wait till Cruz or Walker take on Hillary in one-on-one live debate.
Fat chance the MSM will allow that to happen.
Be hard for drive-bys to stop it.
Either Walker or Cruz will have hitlery screeching.
Then Cruz or Walker will have to stand up to whatever contrived debate format that CNN or NBC might try to impose.
Like, ambush questions from George Steponallofus or Candy Crowley waving a scolding finger & demanding, “How DARE you violate a woman’s personal space!!?” when Ted Cruz or Scott Walker seek to address Queen Hillary directly.
No doubt they will try to pull stunts again, but “sucker plays” usually don’t work a second time.
Sure hope you’re right. The good people are often much too trusting of the motives of others.
If there’s one thing I have rarely been accused of it would be “much too trusting of the motives of others”.
I try to be an observer of human nature. Some people just are not cut from leadership cloth and hitlery sure ain’t Slick. She is by no means cunning as nobama. She will go the way of our good War Hero Bob Dole.
