Oddly, the cardinal attribute now sought in a presidential candidate is the ability to successfully evade horrid questions. And Scott Walker is learning that the hard way. The Wisconsin governors most recent error was complaining aloud about a puerile question posed by the WaPo about what Walker believed President Obama believes about Jesus Christ. In so doing, Walker gave the kind of response his questioners were hoping for, because the words I dont know were part of a soliloquy on media bias. A question like this is the rhetorical equivalent of throwing a wolverine at a mans face and then writing the headline: Candidate struggles with wolverine attack. Well, yeah... But the wolverines will keep coming, and so will the honey badgers, ferrets, otters and the rest of the family Mustelidae. And if you want to be president, youd better find a way to deal with it.
This is Walkers second such error. On a trip to London earlier this month, Walker let his internal monologue slip out when he said he was going to punt a crummy question about evolution. When being treated like a native shipped back to England by Captain Cook, it would be tempting to say much worse than that. But even announcing the punt was bad enough. What Walker said subsequently was just fine. But his blurted intention to evade was all that anyone will remember. If you want to dodge, just look to the president, who has punted for more yards in Washington than anyone since Sammy Baugh. The president just boots that sucker down to the other end zone, the ball carried aloft on great gusts of windy words.
In order to fulfill the media narrative in which Jeb Bush is the sensible candidate trying to tame an insane Republican Party....

This is a hit piece by the RINO media for Bush pretending to be a piece about warning about hit pieces by the liberal media for Bush, run by Hillary’s people so she can safely run against Jeb because he’ll make sure he loses against her like McCain did for Obama.
Since at least the time Karl Rove came on board, Fox News has been to the GOPe what MSNBC has been to the Left.
My brain hurts.
Why would a Texas Hispanic be different than a California or Iowa Hispanic? Aren’t they all mostly Mexican with a smattering of Central American?
I don’t think we’re watching the same FNC. It’s been all Walker, all day today. They only have Cruz on when it’s about legislation he’s working on.
horrid advise, this is the author’s attempt to get him on the record of irrelevant questions
Obama isn’t running for president again
I see and smell Steve Schmidt everywhere. Not long until he turns his attention to Cruz.
The role of the press is to go for the knees of whoever is in front that is not named Jeb.
Don’t be racist! It’s “Chinese-Americans” in his armor now. :)
Because "Hispanic" is just a matter of last name. My guess is many more Hispanics in Texas have been there for multiple generations, and are integrated into the general community more. They own businesses and homes, and the general culture is more conservative. Many grew up speaking English at home. In most of the country there were almost no Hispanics 30 years ago, so virtually all of them are recent immigrants.
I could be wrong, but that's my impression from afar. Maybe some Texas FReepers would want to chime in.
Maybe I missed it but has the media asked Jeb yet to disavow Rudy’s remark or started raking him over the coals for not doing so fast enough?
Walker handled these questions as if he had an Ivy-League education!
walker’s only obstacles are himself and faux conservatives seeking to undermine any decent conservative candidate.
Walker governed like a conservative and that is what the above groups fear.
The good aspect of this is that this is the very early time of the dreaded 2016 campaign and ‘errors’ here are good candidate training for down the road. Nothing can prepare like the hot fire of combat and for every GOP candidate, the media is indeed the enemy allies of the Democrat-Liberal Left!
Gov. Walker is impressive in that he has survived an intense 3 campaigns in 4 years and as such has the best experience of his rivals. Even so, every hint of an ‘error’ will be magnified to achieve the MSM goal of the weakest possible GOP 2016 candidate!
Walker’s the steadiest guy around. After having to stand for re-election 3 times in four years and the anal-probe called a John Doe investigation with pre-dawn SWAT raids and all, no potential candidate has been examined and tested as thoroughly. Not even Palin. And her inquisition was done by media hacks not the Democrat party machine and major city prosecutors office.
In both my opinion and the opinion of Rush L., Walker handled those questions very well. So far he is my favored candidate.
