Liberals have been wailing over the past two decades on why poor whites vote for the Republican Party. In 2012, the New Yorker Magazine published an article on poor Republicans, that was full of all the crude stereotypes about poor whites. http://www.newyorker.com/news/daily-comment/poor-white-and-republican
After all, the Democrats are offering free stuff to the poor, such as free health care, free welfare payments, free food stamps, and other free goodies. In the opinion of the Democrats, poor whites are voting against their economic interests by voting for the Republican Party. Liberals have coined the term "Trailer Park Republican" to describe poor whites who are Republican voters, and the term is featured in the online urban dictionary: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Trailer%20Park%20Republican
But the record of poor whites voting Republican goes back to the 1860 election, when Lincoln got more votes from poor whites than each of the other three candidates in the Presidential election.
The reason why poor whites vote Republican is very simple. They love God and they love America.
My daughter, like my brother, had a gap in her front teeth. I tried to talk her out of orthodontia, since I remembered how much my otherwise very stoic brother had suffered.
But she insisted so we got her teeth fixed.
I’m still of the mind that it was probably, in the long run, a waste of time and money, but we’ll see. Or she’ll see, because I probably won’t be around that long.
In William Shetterley’s book “How to Make a Social Justice Warrior”, he brings up the point that social justice warriors focus on race as a proxy for poverty, but there are twice as many poor whites as blacks - in the 1960s AND today.
He then advocates for measures to abolish classism, but his condemnation of social justice warriors and “anti-racism” that let elite whites feel better about being elite and middle class blacks and hispanics who glum onto it to become superior to whites while doing nothing to help those in poverty is interesting.
Democrats often portray themselves as a beacon to the poor.
Republicans "cater to the rich".
My father used to say:
The Republicans are the party of the rich.
The Democrats are the party of the poor.
The Republicans want as many people as possible to be rich.
The Democrats want as many people as possible to be poor.
Which would you rather be - rich or poor?
If these observations were reasonably accurate then my fathers logic was correct.
In order for the party of the rich to garner more votes, that party would assist as many Americans as possible to become richer.
Then this must also be true.
In order for the party of the poor to garner more votes, that party would assist as many Americans as possible to become poorer.
This is how the liberals are. By voting for the dems rich people are also voting against their economic issues, but that’s OK for them.
It reminds me of something my brother heard on some NPR chat show, or something like that. They were disdaining poor women who had children and said: they have these babies because they think their children will love them and give meaning to their lives.
My brother pointed out that had they been discussing Ivy League gals who had children and found their children loved them and gave meaning to their lives this would have been treated as a world shaking revelation of nothing but goodness and light.
It really is the libs who are racists and classist in their thinking.
And your children DO love you, at least for the first twelve or fifteen years; and then they love you again a few years later.
This kind of dastardly political sabotage is going on, in fact, right now.
I’m not so sure the GOP has its head totally screwed on straight either. A lot of them seem to be really eager for easy amnesty, not just easy immigration, not realizing that much of the invasion is by people who are just bent on evil, and who will not, in fact, settle to be docile lettuce pickers.
Did William Shetterley, or anyone for that matter, define the expression "social justice" as it regards due process in law?
It’s supposed to be about mutual love, and that is not equivalent to bequeathing earthly riches. It starts at God.
It’s one of those terms that sounds so good, until it is allowed to trump the normal and respected processes of debate, fact finding and deliberation. Fairness is a laudable goal. It isn’t necessarily a laudable authority because sometimes the fairest people are not chosen “fairly,” to use an oxymoron.
Our problems are not so simple as a gap between the teeth, though I wish they were ;). Their problems interfered with eating and talking.
Oldest had a cross bite, and expander fixed that but she still has an over bite and could use braces.
Younger daughter had what we thought was an under bite, but really her top teeth were tilted back so she had to stick out her lower jaw to close her mouth. Retainer is fixing that.
Youngest daughter looks like an under bite on one side, so she has to slide her jaw to the right to close her mouth. She’s only 2 so we have a few years before fixing anything.
None of them would take a pacifier as babies so that may be the root of the problems. One sucked her thumb-pushing up the roof of her mouth would cause the cross bite and over bite. The other 2 girls kind of sucked their tongue instead and it was pushing their front teeth back as they grew in.
My boys took a pacifier as babies and they have straight teeth.

Jesse shames black people to vote Rat, no one is shaming the poor white to vote rat.
And conservatives can’t understand how to increase market share among poor whites.
I aver that redneck (which is sometimes thought of as poor white) is an attitude that transcends race.

Too often that results from traveling in lofty circles too long.
yeah you dis the friends of rednecks and then wonder why you don’t get redneck votes... democrats did not use to be looked at this way because they did not use to act this stupid... democrats are digging their own political graves, but whether it will be soon enough to head off major disaster for the usa is yet to be seen...
Many Conservatives are unsure. That uncertainty is the main reason for the Tea Party Movement.
No, but his book is the first I’ve read that fully details the SJW crowd taking over the science fiction writer’s association, seeking to ban from consideration for classic awards works by authors who are conservative or just stood up for a conservative principle
Examples: Orson Scott Card and the effort to shut down the “Ender’s Game” movie project, silencing a Chinese-Thai writer because that person criticized “diversity” while being a rare non-white author, uninviting Elizabeth Moon (a female Vietnam vet) from a place of honor at a convention for criticizing Islam’s intolerance after 9/11/01

It seems as the Democrats commit suicide, a new Democrat-esque wing springs up in the GOP. Meet the new bosses, same as the old bosses.
Kansas has low population density, 35 people per square mile. Democrats increasingly represent the interests of high density city slickers, Republicans everyone else. Poor people cannot afford to waste money and big government is the ultimate money waster.
because they don't want to be parasites
