They’re asking for bids for somebody to build them a satellite that just transmits triple digit temperature readings to ground stations around the globe.
It avoids the cost of designing, building, and testing a bunch of expensive equipment, and guarantees the desired results.
I thought NASA’s primary mission was to help ragheads feel better about themselves.
I expect them to look into it, then rubber stamp it for political gummy bears.

Good finally. a democrat controlled Congress would never hold government accountable for their fraud. global warming is a hoax .
Abolish 99% of government agencies like NASA, EPA,IRS ,FDA ,HUD, government schools etc. They tax us to death and take away our freedom.

Like the Dept. of Energy and any number of other federal “featherbed” agencies, NASA obviously doesn’t have enough to do.

These hearings will be meaningless if no one ends up in jail for fraud.
Perhaps Gowdy or Issa can investigate; heck, the hot air created alone may offset any threat of global warming.

Maybe they can get the University of Virginia to release Michael Mann’s hockey stick data.
Gee, I remember back in the old days, where “fudged” data (let alone falsifying data) would be enough to cause the entire scientific community to declare any theories or conclusions based on that data invalid, and ruin the careers of those involved.
Today, since the scientific conclusions are based on the political wishes of those who will profit the most from laws derived from those conclusions, the conclusions are known before the data is even collected.

It is incredibly sad to see NASA (and NOAA) compromise themselves by placing leftists into their management chain.
There are many excellent apolitical scientists, engineers, and managers working for the good of all.
