WASHINGTON The United States has laid out a battle plan to retake the Iraqi city of Mosul in an April-to-May time frame, using some 20,000 to 25,000 Iraqi troops who currently are being trained, a highly unusual disclosure that one intelligence source told WND is pure lunacy.

That was then, this is now. The US was far more unified, the Axis much more separate. The press was mostly patriotic... now it seems to be focused on either the Left party line or short-term advantage. Our government is so shot full of Muslims of questionable loyalty that there are very few secrets.
If my assessment is wrong, I'd be very happy.
Nah, Barky is tipping off ISIS so that Team Islam won’t get caught unprepared by our attack.
He doesn’t want his side to lose.
“using some 20,000 to 25,000 Iraqi troops”
Well trained, full of fighting spirit and gung ho to fight their fellow muzzies./ major sarcasm obviously.
It was no secret which cities Patton's Army were going to assault. You cant keep an assault force of tens of thousands of men secret. This is nothing than a disinformation/psychological operation.
Just think about who all the people are who support this bastard. He can do none of this on his own.
We’re not talking about any army, ever, we’re talking about this one, now. We trained them for years already, and gave them modern equipment that was better than what ISIS had too. Yet, they folded like a cheap suit.
So, what exactly are we doing differently this time that we should expect different results?
I don’t think the Iraqis lost because they lacked training. I think they lacked the will to fight, and that is something we can’t give them.
Idiots..
This is true. The image of the average Muslim soldier as a vaunted warrior crumbles in reality. I could see signs of this even when I had Muslims as lab partners many moons ago when I was in college. There were / are individual exceptions, of course, just as the Jordanian Armed Forces are reasonably competent. And, the Kurds have been quite good warriors throughout their recent history. But, more generally, the really tough Muslim warriors are those fighting with true religious fervor, like (at least some) in ISIS.
The average Iraqi soldier fears ISIS more than ISIS fears the Iraqis. How we overcome that, is the question.
We should permanently (at least for 20 years, anyway) remove Dabiq from the face of the Earth, since it figures strongly into the prophesies ISIS believes in. Then worry about Mosul, and see how much fight ISIS has left...
Lets see, we are training the same guys who surrendered Mosul to ISIS to retake Mosul from the guys that whupped them.....SO THE IRANIANS CAN TAKE OVER.
YEP.
You know, I think that in reality we are just playing a part in a bigger game involving the rich sunni Saudis, Kuwaitis and so forth. I think the decision has been made to take the Saudis down. Isis is sunni and is right now protecting the Saudis from Iran. Question is ...who will take over that Saudi oil.
It's all a Black Flag operation ....
Who can tell what is going on behind the scenes in that part of the world? I tend to think that nearly all of them will make secret deals with anybody, if it is to their advantage, and then stab their partners in the back as soon as it is convenient.
So there are probably some Saudis funding ISIS, hoping to advance themselves, or curry favor in case ISIS is successful in taking down the current regime. Why not? They have enough money to play every bet.
Without close air support and significant artillery and armor 2,500-5,000 Jihadi’s will probably “pwn” 20,000-25,000
Iraqi regulars trying to retake a metropolitan area of 1,000,000 people. 20,000 to 25,000 troops is “change under the car seat” in a city of a million + people.
The only mitigating factor I could see is if there is a boatload of residents that end up willing to pitch in to kick out ISIS after having had to live under them for a while.
Human shields galore.
ISIS is Sunni. Barry is Sunni. too? That would explain his tipping them off to the TIMELINE of the Iraqi assault on Mosul.
