"......Mr. Bush was at 19 percent in the poll from the Democratic firm Public Policy Polling, and Mr. Walker was at 18 percent, with retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson tied with native son Sen. Lindsey Graham at 13 percent.

.......Among voters who identified themselves as moderates, Mr. Bush had a 36 percent — a 6 percent advantage — over Mr. Walker, but Mr. Walker led him among “very conservative” voters, 27 percent to 12 percent......

That is the only reason for Graham to be running. No one seriously wants him to be President.

19 and 18 percent, eh. Yeah, that’s real winning numbers.

It’s an odd poll.

Not everyone was listed [Rubio, Santorum and Jindal were noted as not being included].

“......The survey of 868 registered voters, including 525 Republican primary voters, was taken from Feb. 12-15. The margin of error for the GOP sample is plus or minus 4.3 percent.”

I love polls where they seem to have started with a premise, then took enough of a sample to satisfy the desired result.

If those are the only two choices I would unenthusiastically pull the lever for Walker.

Unenthusiastically.

Wait.

That’s not how polling is SUPPOSED to be done?

Me neither, but that will end up being a vote for Hillary.

Jeb Bush awards Hillary Defender of Liberty Medal on eve of Benghazi anniversary

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) will honor former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with this year’s Liberty Medal from the National Constitution Center.

The award will be presented to Clinton on September 10th, the eve of the first anniversary of the terrorist attack on the United States mission in Benghazi that killed four American.

The Christian Science Monitor reports that Bush, a potential GOP contender in the 2016 presidential race, is chairman of the board of trustees of the National Constitution Center located in Philadelphia.

“Former Secretary Clinton has dedicated her life to serving and engaging people across the world in democracy,” Bush said in a statement. “These efforts as a citizen, an activist, and a leader have earned Secretary Clinton this year’s Defender of Liberty Medal.”

==============================================

Bush’s decision to honor Clinton, who is considered by some to be a likely Democrat candidate for president in 2016, was condemned by the Independence Hall Tea Party Association of Philadelphia. According to the Christian Science Monitor, the organization released its own statement Monday, referring to the event as “extremely distressing,” and offering, instead, an opportunity for another Liberty Medal recipient.

According to the statement: As all of you undoubtedly know, much of the blame for the Obama Administration’s failure to contain the Benghazi attack and the scandalous handling of its aftermath, can be traced directly to Ms. Clinton.

Indeed, a Congressional investigation regarding Ms. Clinton’s role in the cover-up of the Administration’s failure is still ongoing.

=====================================================

A newly formed organization, the Independence Hall Foundation, will hold a “What Difference Does It Make” press conference on Independence Mall, September 10, 4 PM, to denounce the selection of Ms. Clinton as the 2013 Liberty Medal recipient and to offer an alternative award (details below). During the conference, the Foundation will name its choice of recipient(s) for the 2013 Defender of Liberty Medal. Dom Giordano will headline the presser and we certainly hope you will consider joining us. (SOURCE: BREITBART.COM 9/9/13)

Cruz needs to get in sooner rather than later to shore up his base support. I fear he is losing some of it to Walker. I’d like to see him going into the debates at 10%. If he goes in at 3% with 10 other candidates behind podiums, he’ll be marginalized.

Media (and GOP elites) are having a difficult time ‘defining’ Walker. Some call him a conservative. Others call him an establishment guy. A few even call him a much needed bridge between the GOP establishment and conservatives.

Walker needs to get out front and ‘define’ himself, before the media and GOP elites ‘define’ him.

==

The ‘nobody is perfect’ crowd seem to be asleep, still, or sitting on the sidelines. A few are circling around Carson. How and why defies explanation. Carson is far from being a conservative.

Cruz seems to have the most ‘conservative’ positions. However, in most of the straw polls so far, he seems to be getting little traction. Walker got a big boost after his Iowa speech. Cruz, even though his speech was well received, did not seem to get much of a boost.

Graham, so far, hasn’t got enough traction to even show up in the straw polls.

==

Several southern states are demanding that the RNC move their primaries to earlier — around March 1. Many of those states have primaries so late in the spring that those primaries are irrelevant, as the nominee (2008 and 2012, especially) was already chosen weeks earlier.

If those states are successful in moving their primaries forward, it would significant.

Of course, the south being more conservative than most of the rest of the nation makes the GOP elites want to keep those southern primaries until after their guy sews up the nomination.

No it isn’t, only a vote for Hillary is a vote for Hillary.

I will not vote for ANY cheap labor importer.

Walker has to decide if he is on the side of the citizens, American sovereignty and the rule of law.

I get so tired of hearing these

"...if you don't vote for Bush, then Hillary gets elected!!!"

Or my favorite, after the election and a Dem wins:

"Hillary won, and it's YOUR fault!!! She won because you didn't vote for Bush, you purist!!!"

First of all, as you said, only a vote for Hillary is a vote for Hillary.

Secondly, in logic, that type of argument is called a False Dichotomy, assuming there are only two alternatives when in fact there are more. If the Dem wins, GOP apologist, try considering another alternative: your candidate lost because - again - your Party picked a lousy, unwinnable candidate.
