3:08 video: Governor Scott Walker’s Interview with Young America Foundation Reflects on Reagan’s “A Time for Choosing” Speech

Gov. Scott Walker: “You can give that speech [Ronald Reagan's "A Time for Choosing"] today, not tell people who it was, just play it, play the audio, and I think people would find it just as compelling today as it was the day he gave it.”[Oct 1964] .................."

“President Obama and his allies tend to measure success in government by how many people depend on the government, how many people are on medicare, food-stamp, unemployment. We instead, we the conservatives measure success in government by just opposite, by how many people are no longer depended on the government.”

“The optimism that comes out of me is the absolute optimism that I’ve received from President Reagan. He saw the brighter side of people. He understood that the real strength of America came out of people and not our government. So more and more today we need to remind people, that is not a conservative idea, I think it’s a fundamentally American idea.”

“What I believe, and I believe lot’s of historians would agree with me on this is, is that his action against the air Traffic Controllers, really in many ways started the end the cold war. Because he showed us, this was a serious presidency this is some one that your ally can trust and your adversary should be afraid of.”

“It’s also why throughout, I believe for the reminder of his presidency, you saw very few actual military actions, not because he wasn’t willing to take them, but precisely for the opposite reason, because they knew he was going to draw a red line and if you crossed it he’s going to act. I think for me, what I liked about this president I liked back in 1964 long before we saw his work as governor and eventually as president . . . he was quite serious.”..............

In this short video clip of an interview with Scott Walker, he also lands some well placed "jabs" at liberal bias in education [and the need for getting out the word to the younger generation about conservatism by other means].

If so, wow!

Walker seems to have zeroed in on what I believe to be wrong with this country. Comparing Pres. Reagan’s speech and versus odumbo’s strategy for America tells me he (Wa;lker) will be a “Reagan” if elected POTUS. So far my support is directed to Walker and Cruz, what a team they would make.
