CORBIN, Ky. (AP) A 16-year-old boy killed in a shootout Saturday with police in Maryland, prompted the search of his home over 500 miles away in Kentucky, where authorities found the bodies of his parents and younger sister.
Friends and relatives of Jason Hendrix were struggling to understand how the boy, a faithful churchgoer who was baptized just two months ago, could end up as the suspect in the slayings.
Hendrix, a Kentucky high school ROTC student and active church member, was angry at his parents for taking away his computer privileges when he's suspected of killing his family execution-style before fleeing to Maryland, where he died in a shootout with police, the town's police chief said Sunday.

Without an actual commitment to the Lord (not just ceremony) no amount of earthly “discipline” can guarantee a good outcome, and in fact in excess risks creating spiritual destruction.
We only see superficials in these reports. What really happened here? Parents can be brats too.
Wouldn't surprise me to learn that the boy is homosexual, his parents found out about it and one or more of his parents blew their top.
This is a difficult problem to deal with, and especially in this licentious day.
The positive thing, the specialness of sexual function to marriage, is especially ill honored today. The gay craze is very much an opportunistic “infection.”
Yes, it looks like a booking photo. Was he arrested before?
Whole lot of speculation in this thread with very little to base it on. May as well say aliens did it until we know more, if we do find out more.
Good story :)
Lizzie Borden didn’t have an iPhone...these kind of incidents have gone on forever
There’s a lot of social Christianity still.
I think that the computer games can be very addicting.
Worst I ever did was punch a hole in the drywall. I can’t even remember what they laid on me to make me that mad now :)
I do remember my mom not getting mad about the hole, though, so I think she must have thought my dad overreacted a bit.
If that was the case this would not be unusual. This is absolutely abnormal. No remorse, no emotion.
If you've ever wondered what a "run on sentence" looks like, this is it. This begs for a re-write.
There is a middle ground of consideration here, in which misuse of drugs can further unbalance an unbalanced mind. The key word is misuse. The drugs do not just leap on the person they effect, they are either chosen by that person or by someone else treating that person.
Thank you for that infomercial Mr. Ely Lilly.
This news is so freaking bad it has to be described in one big humongous breathless run on sentence that continues on till kingdom come
Maybe it’s me,but I wonder if this ever studied journalism.
.
Makes you wonder if she would have taken selfies with her chopped-up parents to post on her FaceBook page and tweet to her friends.
There has to be far more beyond this picture. No easy single factor to blame. The devil has multifarious doors that he can knock on in a life in an attempt to damn it, or at least to wreck the reflection of the Lord in it.
Most of the lad’s secret died with him and we may never know it. What evils did he choose, what evils were pressing upon him, that in the end added up to this.
It seems less and less abnormal these days
My parents even went so far to beat my ass from time to time, but I never thought about killing them.
I agree; but hatred and killing are not answers.
