The civilian who was shot and killed earlier on Sunday in the terrorist attack on the Great Synagogue in central Copenhagen, Denmark, was revealed to have been a member of the Jewish community, who was guarding the synagogue at the time of the shooting.
Dan Rosenberg Asmussen, head of the local Jewish community told Danish television a few moments ago that around 80 people from the community were gathered inside the house of worship for a bat-mitzva celebration at the time of the attack.
“The Community is in shock, it is like the shootings in Paris,” Rosenberg Asmussen said, “we had contacted the police after the shooting at Café Krudttønden to have them present at the bat-mitzva, but unfortunately this happened anyway.”
Rosenberg Asmussen said he was not present at the celebration and that he was afraid to think of what would have happened had the assailant been able to force his way into the community center.
It is yet unknown if the terrorist was in fact trying to force his way into the synagogue and if the guard had stopped him.

Denmark should be ridiculed, then completely condemned for the death of this member of the Jewish community. It is THEIR utter PC stupidity which has given rise to the large and vicious Muzzie community in their midst. THEY may be willing to give away their country to the Muzzies, but where does that leave groups like their Jewish communities? Again, the Jews will have to leave while the PC idiot Danes kowtow to their rag head new masters. How completely stupid is it to open your front door to burglars, rapists, murderers and welcome them in with open arms? That’s Denmark, England-—who else?
This violence against people who are assembling to exercise free speech, free inquiry and free association are the acts of a desperate outmoded dying culture that cannot match the intellectual accomplishments or progress of those they are attacking. Historically the frustrated , raging attackers ultimately fail. However those being attacked must remain steadfast in their beliefs and practices and must not accommodate the bizarre lunatics under a misguided sense of “tolerance”.
This has nothing to do with islam and is not anti-semetic. It’s just some random folks at a mitvah. We don’t need to get all wee-weed up about it.
I have seen these plainclothes security guards in and around US synagogues over the last couple of decades (though Catholic the family has had the opportunity to attend numerous weddings and bar/bat mitzvahs).
The ones I noticed seemed rather professional. If they are community members, they have had some training. Sad that this is necessary. Catholic churches have no such precautions.
This man died in honor, in defense of his people.
