"Reach for the sky, this is a stick up!"
"Have you registered your gun and do the bullets have serial numbers?"
"Yes, of course I followed those laws. I'm a law-abiding criminal, like most armed robbers and rapists."
"Okay, I feel much better. Here's my car keys and my wallet."

In other news, Connecticut was just named as the Number 1 state for lack of job growth. Amazing the sorts of things that happen when you put Nazis in charge.

Other than a few thousand Eastern block cartridges safely stored in their tins for a rainy day... we cast all of our bullets and assemble all of our cartridges. To crime lab experts this actually makes them more identifiable than micro-stamped store bought ammo will ever be.

That panel also was considering yearly psych-check requirements on all home schoolers - don't know if it made it into the final draft.

serialize my ammo
If they come to your home, and ask for your ammo, I implore you to give it to them . . . one round at a time, delivered via your favorite firearm!

So very true!!
My “NUTS” Comment was for post number one, as you can see I missed. My eyes are adjusting to the Cataract Surgery I had on the 4th. That and “Fat” fingers....
Have a good one :-)

this would stop Psycho Lanza
Maybe it wouldn’t stop psychos, but people would ‘feel’ better, since they could trace back the ammo, to them/S
To: rktman
And of course any non-serialized ammo brought in from a neighboring state less than 30 minutes away will fail to function.

I prefer to be robbed and shot dead with attention to details that make it easier for the state to inventory the crime scene. And that, my FRiend is exactly what this is really all about isn't it? This will no more prevent anything, it will make inventory of the crime scene easy, and mop it up sooner.

The past participle of “to swive” is “swived”.

The people making this recommendation need to be presented with a bill and after they write the check, we’ll talk about it.

So the violent criminals will form a long line at the state police to register their illegal weapons.

Thank you, sir. It’s not a verb I use very often. I used to have a professor who would occasionally write stuff under the pen name of “Merken Swiver”.

We should use it more often at FR. Too many people have become enamored of the F-word, and at times this site becomes like Democratic Underground.
The Founding Fathers used "to swive" in common discourse, and it would be a welcome addition to certain FReeper terms, such as "clymer" for "a--hole".

I had to look up “swive”.
I knew it would be juicy when Yahoo made me turn “safe search” off in order to see the results.
