This is a story with various reports flying from multiple directions and it’s hard to get a grasp on exactly what’s happening. What we know at the moment is that ISIS is claiming it has seized control of the al-Asad air base in the Ramadi area of Iraq. According to multiple twitter feeds the Iraqi army has lost contact with its people inside the base. From what we can tell the 300 Marines are on location to train Iraqi military. The Pentagon is pushing back on these initial reports about al-Asad. I see that your article of the Korean War hero is from 2009. There was at least one bayonet charge in the Iraq war as well:

Obama is,and has been, exhibiting DELIBERATE DERELICTION OF DUTY for months now. The military needs to arrest him and throw him in jail.
I do believe I did run across this but I was looking for US soldiers fixing bayonets.

Better yet: How much ammo do the Marines have? Can they sustain a firefight for 10 min? 20 min? Any one air dropping more ammo?
Or is the whole thing just made up?
Why would ISIS waste time, men etc in taking the base, other than for the propaganda value, when they can simply bypass them on the way to Baghdad?
These guys have gonads larger than Congress and the White House men combined.
This is a large air base. Getting stuff in and out is really not an issue. They will get the 300 marines out of there before they over run.
Not confident in Obama permitting evacuation, or defense or perimeter.

Without communications, the ROE becomes whatever the default Marine ROE happen to be -- this may be the best thing working in their favor.

My concern is not the Marines, but the failure to provide enough munitions. They would only be overrun if outnumbered, outgunned, and without full mags.
This is where Obama will fail, among others.

THE QUESTION IS......WHERE IS THE COUNTER ATTACK TO RETAKE Al-Baghdadi?
