Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY), who convened the private meeting with other lawmakers, including Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, is all but saying that Netanyahu is not welcome to address Congress.
I dont know whether the prime minister would consider not coming, but I think theres some considerations about whether that should be considered, Mr. Israel said. Hopefully a way will be found to defuse an unnecessarily tense situation.
Democrats are worried that Netanyahus speech will show the world just how big of a rift exists between the U.S. and Israel.
Talk about showing someone the back of their hand, as Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz once stated. Netanyahus speech will surely be well received by the Republican-led Congress, and the optics of American lawmakers applauding Netanyahus remarks will weaken the standing around the world, of an already weak President Obama.

RATS are drowning.
OMG...when are decent Jews going to disavow Jews like Israel and Washerwoman?
In the fall of 2015.
Obama is a thorn in Israel’s side!
I wish Bibi were our leader.
Democrats are playing right into Obama’s hands. He’s essentially brilliantly forced them to chose between him and Netanyahu. The goal is to have the Democrat Party become anti-Israel over the long run. He’s succeeding brilliantly.
Hear! Hear! We have no men like him. Not one, that will be running. Even for office...
The Jewish people need to wake the hell up or come forward and admit they care nothing about Israel or their history and future.
I think this may backfire on the Dems. Even the Rat side of my family is saying out loud that this is wrong and Bibi should be allowed to speak. I just hope Cruz or someone articulate grabs this by the horns and runs with it. You can bet Code Pink and all others will be allowed in to hector and try to shut him down. I pray that Bibi gas excellent security around him. He is going to need it, in the People’s house.
Sonderkommando Kapos.
There is good reason, based on your words to have a general as one of the candidates.
Gen Franks?
LTG Boykin?
Obama is a thorn in the side of all decent people. Obama is one of Satan’s representatives on Earth.
Just last night a friend of mine said..”We need to decide if we are Jews or Democrats...”
Natuarally he is a solid conservative.
What is their problem with Netanyahu speaking again? Not sure I actually discerned any point there.
Other than Obama doesn’t want him to
One should always consider the considerable.
What with the last couple days of coercing mere mortals like Steve Israel and DWS, Barack HUSSEIN Obama - or his éminence grise ValJar - seems to be would up pretty tightly at this stage. Team Muslim Brotherhood must be genuinely in the dark concerning how much Bibi knows (and what he might reveal) about their Iran-enabling escapades.
Mr. niteowl77
islamists and their facilitators are coming out of their rat holes like they’ve been fumigated.
Boehner’s invitation to Netanyahu is a political stunt.
I don't think Boehner cares any more about the survival of Israel than Obama does.
JINO?
If you don’t support Bibi are you a JINO?
It really is unnecessarily tense due to Obama's public tantrum.
So far only a handful of the most radical obamists have refused to attend. So I'd say Obama is losing this one.
But its a fight he didn't have to lose, because its a fight he didn't have to fight. All he had to do was politely accept Boehner's invitation to the address, or politely decline. Politely invite the prime minister to the White House or politely say nothing.
My suspicion is similar to others. Obama is about to give away the store to Iran and doesn't want it high-lighted.
