Not enough.

NATO needs to launch airstrikes on rebel held territories in Eastern Ukraine.

Why does Ukraine believe this Memorandum means anything more than the Budapest and other agreements?

Now, the fact is that the West is not living up to those agreements, and that fact is likely going to get many millions killed in coming decades. But that likelihood seems to not matter to those in power in the West, perhaps because few of them will be around to see the evil whose groundwork they are laying, or perhaps because their corrupt morals make it “inconvenient” for them to see.

I wish it was not so, but without a powerful and honorable US leading the West, what other conclusion can be drawn?

BTW, very interesting article here:

http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/analysis-ukraine39s-and-russia39s-aerospace-industries-will-be-hit-hard-by-deteriorating-403480/

I do see multiple problems with the analysis:

For one thing, how much of those defense industries that made up “70% of Ukraine’s industrial base” is likely to end up in Putin’s hands? (I really think that grabbing as much of it as he could has been Putin’s plan all along.)

But then again, how much of that industry, which I believe is mainly in the East part of Ukraine, is even going to exist whenever hostilities cease?

Does the West’s plan assume that Putin will eventually control part of Eastern Ukraine, and therefor the plan partially consists of drawing out the war to assure the destruction of as much of those former Ukrainian defense industries as possible?

NATO needs to control the airspace of Ukraine and take out every Russkie armament they can find. Send Russkie home in body bags en masse.
