IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) Scientists are discovering what is to blame for the recent earthquakes in Irving. Many believed that the former Texas Stadium implosion or gas drilling could be the blame but SMU seismologists say they just dont know yet. They are identified fault line that runs right through Irving and into Dallas. It is about 2 miles in length and 3 to 5 miles deep. In the area of the newly identified fault are: buildings, businesses, high-rises, and residents. The SMU seismology team says the fault stretches from state highway 114 in Irving and extends north-by-north east to Walnut Hill in West Dallas.
This is not new faulting. This is not the formation of a new fault this is just reactivation of a fault thats probably hundreds of millions of years old, explains SMU Seismologist Heather DeShon.
The SMU seismology team has no answers about what is causing all of these earthquakes of late.

This guy must be some kind of sciencematician or sumpin.
The uncontrolled racial hatred of conservative Texans towards The Black Man in the White House is the cause!
I would like a list of names and email addresses of the "many" idiots who believed this. I have a book on hydroponics I'd like to sell them...

Yes. Their blind racial hatred against him, despite his many awesome accomplishments MUST be the cause. Their chickens are coming home to roost.
There once was a pretty good band out of Austin called “Balconies Fault”, played a funky mix of dixiland/jazz.
Played on “Austin City Limits” once.
Can’t see a “Texas Fault” without thinking of them.
The Balcones Fault Zone lies directly below the area of recent earthquakes. And they’re not fracking in that part of the county.

Bushs Fault?
>>Prehistoric fracking is the cause.<<
Frack you! lol
Must'a been one helluva implosion, or a mighty "frack"!
By the way, HOW many believed?
yep, “new scientwists” produced by liberal engineering schools will vote on measures to stop the progress. Fudge the data, get gummit grant, have “consensus” on what gummit want’s, .....aaaaand your job is guaranteeeeed!
scientwists
I like that! Hope you don’t have it copywrited.
Plus it would be difficult to describe them better.
I’m a bit confused by these article on Texas earthquakes. The USGS site hasn’t shown any recent quakes in Texas. Oklahoma is overwhelmed with quakes, not Texas.
Oddly enough, the quakes epicenter is where the old Cowboys Stadium was.
I just have to say,
this is the best alliterative headline
that I’ve seen today.
"We had an earthquake because we had an earthquake!"
It is a cleaver headline (the fault is at fault) but it is in direct conflict with the following statement from the article:
“The SMU seismology team has no answers about what is causing all of these earthquakes of late.”
