The problem with Santorum was that he started talking about the "need to compromise" when what the people wanted was someone who would stand up on principle to Obama. During the primaries, Romney campaigned as a relentless fighter. Then, during the election against Obama, he wimped out. He even ceded a percentage of the voters to Obama.

Blame Romney for being a conservative in the primaries then an Obama enabler in the campaign.

Listen to me for once, there are NO pure as wind driven snow candidates. If they were, they would’nt be politicians running at presidential level. Every candidate has some flaws we do not like.

We always have to chose between the very bad and the not so bad. That is reality and life.

In 2016, my “very bad” candidate is Jeb Bush.
I refuse to bash Cruz, Walker, Jindal, Pence, Rand, & Kasich. Each one has plenty of flaws but Jeb is much worse overall.

Let the primary process unfold. I will throw my modest money support behind that one candidate from above who is ahead after IA, NH & SC. If others did the same, Jeb has smaller chance of winning nomination. Christy will not run. The GOPe never fields 2 candidates. In 2008 Mitt dropped out early to clear path for McCain. In 2012 Mitt was again the lone RINO running.
