Jordanian fighter jets struck Islamic State targets for a third straight day Saturday, as the militants' claim that a Jordanian airstrike killed an American hostage remained unconfirmed.
Jordan launched the raids to avenge the killing of a Jordanian pilot the Islamic State group captured in Syria in December.
The United Arab Emirates said Saturday that it ordered a squadron of F-16 fighter planes to Jordan to help with the airstrikes. State news agency WAM carried the announcement.
Both Jordan and the UAE are members of the U.S.-led coalition attacking the militants in their captured territory in Iraq and Syria. Coalition airstrikes also continued Saturday, as the fate of the American aid worker being held by Islamic State remained unknown.
Kayla Mueller's family released a statement Friday, saying they remained hopeful she still is alive. Carl and Marsha Mueller asked the captors of their 26-year-old daughter to "respond to us privately.”
Their response came after the White House on Friday said it had seen no evidence to corroborate the militants' claim of her death.
Skepticism over the claim comes after Jordanian authorities said fighter pilot Muath al-Kaseasbeh was killed in early January, a month before the Islamic State released a video showing his death.

Jordan has always been the weakest country in the area and thus timid. It’s nice to see that they can do things with an appropriate level of thoroughness when they are not overmatched.

My level of embarrassment on the world stage as a result of this man-boy coward of a president is beyond measure. What happened to the America I grew up in? It has become a marxist, turd world, laughing stock crap hole. The saddest part is the majority of Americans don’t even see it, or turn the other way. Our children and grandchildren will pay an ugly price, because inevitably, there will be a price to pay.
Although Jordan’s present action against ISIS is laudable, it only came about after one of its pilots was captured and killed in a horrible way.
Months before, ISIS already committed barbaric terrorist acts against Christians and Yazhedis but the Arab response was zilch.
King Abdullah is thoroughly p*ssed off with the ISIS thugs. If there is any person in all of Islam who may be named as having an ethical view of the world, he would be the leading contender. And his claim to the line of DIRECT descent from the Prophet Mohammed Ali (through the daughter Fatima) gives the Hashemite royal line a special cachet within Islam.
Our country can’t survive the sheep that elected the POS twice.

From Kurd reports ,These ISIS guys are doing a Saddam Hussein , y`know- they ISIS are about 40-100 feet deep in RAQQA tunnels and 500 pounders aren`t any good unless you got bunkerbusters to do the job.
The nice thing for the Jordanian army is they probably aren’t encumbered with stupid Rules of Engagement, and probably won’t obey the Geneva convention.
