President Obama unveiled a national security strategy on Friday that called for "strategic patience" and warned against American "overreach" -- an approach that drew criticism as some lawmakers say the rising threat from the Islamic State demands a more urgent response.

The 29-page document is meant to serve as a blueprint for Obama's final two years in office. The strategy cast the U.S. as an indispensable force in combating global challenges -- including terrorism, climate change and cyber threats.

“Strategic patience.” Not too far removed from strategic indolence, this is really “outside the box” thinking. Maybe we should give him an EBT card to tide him over.

I doubt these are Obama’s final two years in office.

I think he’ll try.

Strategic Patience is just the calm before the storm. The next level is Aggressive Indifference.

This clown makes Neville Chamberlain look like a war hawk.
At least Chamberlain had the humility and integrity to admit he mis-judged Hitler.

If he wiped them out crossing the Desert from Syria, like we did the retreating Iraqi Army coming out of Kuwait, there would be no ISIS to worry about.

Now we have an entrenched Enemy mixed into the Civilian Population. Wiping them out means Collateral Damage which the Media will latch on to like Reggie on Obama’s A$$...

The Grand Ditherer, a Coward if epic proportions.

Yup. Its exactly why ISIS is claiming their American hostage was killed by a Jordanian airstrike.

Head in the sand and call it a “policy.” Ignore radical Islam & the terror it spawns, wide open borders and amnesty to all illegals, not a problem?

He is playing for time because he is Muslim Brotherhood, and ally of ISIS.

He spawned them, and except for the public head-chopping and prisoner burning, which he doesn’t care about except as a PR problem, they are doing what they were intended to do. Destabilize Assad, drive a physical wedge between Syria and Iran, and put pressure on Israel.

If he is forced to put troops into the area to solve his PR problem, he will look for ways to do a bank shot and maybe bring down the Jordanian government while he is at it. Without leaving any obvious fingerprints.

Let me gently dispute that statement and defend President Obama.

He is very much qualified to be a Chicago political crook.
