They look like Episcopalians.

Do Oak trees grow in Iceland? I thought Thor/Wodin lived in a big old oak tree. St. Boniface chopped it down, and that was the end of the tree worshipping pagans.

That’s a blood ritual, isn’t it?

Satan’s house of worship...

There’s a bit of evidence that it’s been around for 5,000 years. It wasn’t a recent thing.
I would also note as a historical matter....that various religions existed in central Europe until after the Roman Empire dissolved, and the Catholic Church appeared on the scene.

I think some called "gods" were long-lived people who for a certain time lived contiguously with us short-lived people, in mountainous areas, and got into the habit of playing tricks on us, making us jump through hoops for their amusement. Fortunately, we caught on after awhile. ☺

“various religions existed in central Europe until after the Roman Empire dissolved, and the Catholic Church appeared on the scene.”
The Teutonic Knights were called in by the Catholics for a crusade to convert by the sword some of my Baltic Prus ancestors, who were reluctant to give up their tree worshipping in exchange for being made subjects of a foreign king.

They look like Episcopalians. I always refer to them as EpiscoPAGANS.
They've turned so far to the Left that they no longer resemble that church as it was when founded.

Oh, Lord, save us from the wrath of the Norsemen.

The new "Norse paganism" isn't a continuation of the old. Rather it's a lot of mumbo-jumbo with no clear fixed beliefs at all.
Iceland, you must remember is a tiny country of 300,000 people and religiously it steadily lost believers from the time of the Reformation when the Bishop was forcibly removed by the Danish king. Not that the bish was a particularly good man, but in a nation of a few thousand, this was felt as a personal insult -- especially since after that, faith was mandated by the Danes.

Did you notice the railings in that video? 1979 they were perfectly legal, but today they cannot be wider than 4”... for the protection of small children.
How did we make it? How did we fall this far from liberty?
