Liberals, conservatives, and almost everybody in between are hammering New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) after he defended parents' "choice" to not vaccinate their kids against the measles.
"It's more important what you think as a parent than what you think as a public official," Christie said Monday when asked about recent measles outbreaks in the US, according to The New York Times. "I also understand that parents need to have some measure of choice in things as well. So that's the balance that the government has to decide."

Stay in NJ fat boy, you’re wasting your time taking your clown show on the road.
Stupid just went to seed when that fat boy opened his piehole..
Christie has the unfortunate ‘talent’ of coming out Hells Bells on the wrong side of many issues. I still don’t expect him to get the nomination.
Maybe Mitt will ever so subtly deflate the Beautiful Balloon of Chris Christie’s Campaign, as a way to finally get even for Sandy Hook. Look for Mitt to be smiling as he engineers the intricate machinery of sabotage, (long overdue!).
I’m not a fan of Christie but on this he is right.
Shows fatso's outlook on what the essence of government is. A top-down approach is it is "government" deciding the balance. The notion is foreign to his Rotundance that the people create govt and give it some power, reluctantly, to the State and even less to the federal govt, to pass and execute law.
I can’t stand Krispy Kreme, but there is nothing wrong with what he said here.
... just wait a minute. Now that he is "slimmin," he should be able to jam the brogans in the pie hole much more frequently!
He is wrong, as are other proponents of vaccinations. Their beliefs are based on one study that turned out to be outright fraud.
Imagine if parents had their kids avoid the polio and smallpox vaccines.
This is one issue where one side is using logic, while the other is using fairy dust.
Interesting how so many Conservatives say they stand for freedom and liberty.
Except on the subject of having control over what goes into your veins. Or your child’s.
Yes, there are vaccinations absolutely necessary for the general welfare that should be administered as they were in the past.
But is it impossible to imagine that pharmaceutical companies in collusion with the government might try to foist some unnecessary and perhaps even dangerous drug on the market? It would be foolish to believe it impossible.
I do not trust the feds as far as I can throw them.
Same
Yup. These comments are not insane.
Kind of figured that might be the case
Campaign time. Anybody who threatens the leftist establishment will be destroyed
So true-kids belong to parents, not the government-and parents don’t belong to the government either. It is a parent’s choice whether or not to vaccinate, whether you agree or disagree. I did have my child vaccinated, but I did not let her get all the doses in the short time that many parents do/did-it just didn’t seem safe for a little kid under 3.
I agree. If you’re living off the grid and never coming into contact w/ other humans...fine...don’t get your shots.
If you’re like most of the rest of us and are out in public...get your shots. Talk to YOUR Doc...do some research ... do all of that ... then get your gosh darn shots.
“Interesting how so many Conservatives say they stand for freedom and liberty”
Not on FR dude. Its vaccine central here. I mean they get really upset if you diss on their vaccines. LOL!
Now if there was a vaccine for Liberalism I might get excited.
