Army Deletes Tweet About ‘Chinks In Armor’ After People Cry Racism

The U.S. Army has deleted a tweet that used the term “chinks” in armor after people freaked out that the same word can be used in a completely different context as a racial slur against people of Chinese descent.

“Chinks in special ops’ digital and physical armor poses challenges, experts say,” the tweet read, followed by a link to a news release about how terrorists’ using social media has left a hole — dare I say, a chink in — our country’s defenses.

And so are blackboards. White chalk is also patriarchal when used on a blackboard as it imposes the will of the writer (a person who usually has white privilege) upon the mute black surface. It is especially egregious when the writer uses cursive.

True observation by yourself. On a lighter note- and someone has to laugh sardonically, I remember WW2. The "blackout" was enforced by newly appointed Air Raid Wardens. Very officious some of them were. I remember a voice saying to the householder.

Just the other day I watched a history show about the WWII joint Canadian/American fighting force called the Devils Brigade also known as The Black Devils.

The army tried to whitewash the affair; but the ever diligent Thought Police would not allow the truth to be sucked down a Black Hole. Good for them! The slant on this slippery slope requires vigilance; greasers of the skids are fanning the flames of divisiveness. Where racism is concerned we need to call a spade a spade, and not be niggardly in our application of disapprobation.

The hidden meanings in many of our phrases reflect microaggression and cultural terrorism, some so subtle that they're difficult to detect. I propose we employ our finest spooks and code crackers in this endeavor, until these words become illegal and alien to our society. People who claim these code words do not exist are all wet. Back to the days of social apartheid we will not go. We must Prod the throwbacks ever forward, and nip these recurrences in the bud.

When an innocuous term like that is attacked it is a reflection on the racist nature of the attackers.
