Apple delivered the greatest earnings report in history on Tuesday.
That's not hyperbole. Apple earned $18 billion in net income over the three-month period of October to December 2014. That's more than any other company has ever earned over a three-month span.
Apple earned those mind-melting profits thanks mostly to the iPhone, which is an incredible business.
Apple sold 74.5 million iPhones, up 46% from the year prior. The iPhone generated $51 billion in revenue, giving each iPhone an average selling price of $687.

Maybe they’re using non-apple phones.
Next time you get a chance, walk into an AT&T Store and check the prices yourself.
BUT, maybe you don’t want an iPhone with phone service ... in that case you probably will pay around that price ... :-) ...
Then how come Samsung is losing out big-time to Apple?
Steve Jobs ... regarding Flash ...
Thoughts on Flash
http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/
ALSO ... are you going to quit using YouTube since they have decided to eliminate Flash from their videos?
What Steve Jobs did ... the rest of the market would follow, and do so much later ... :-) ...
And fag rights promoted, and Second Amendment rights suppressed, and Christians sued or boycotted, and conservatism assailed at every possible turn.
How you spend your money makes a tremendous difference politically and culturally.
Every day I vote with my cash.
I understand, but I can't do anything about that.
Samsung own more market share worldwide than Apple.
So you are against consumer choice?
I could care less what Jobs’ opinion was of anything. I want to make my own decisions not based on what he thinks.
If you are okay making your decision based upon what others think the product you buy should be limited to, then that speaks volumes about you, and not in a good way.
In fact I do rely on Apple spell check, and it accepts both "skeptic" and sceptic.Same word, same definition, two different acceptable spellings. I note that the same is not true of FR spell check, which accepts skeptics only.
Two more products like the I Watch, and we’ll see how innovative APPL is viewed, and how good an investment it is.
“Steve Jobs is gone. I miss him. Tim Cook is not Steve Jobs. Not even close”
Jobs delivered what he said he would. Cook is a politically correct coward who is more concerned about his own worthless left wing hide. Cook has no spark, no vision to keep the Apple innovation going.
I’ll be buying put options on Apple as the company goes down the crapper. Apple had a great run with Jobs.
Another point, I thankfully avoided tech stocks during the 2000 crash. If that 2 or 3 year period taught me anything, is that that sector is the ultimate of fluidity. Tech stocks are analogy of financial playing with fire.
You Anti-Apple people are hilarious ... and its amazing that youre even found on a conservative forum ... :-) ...”
Uh... What company has AL Gore on the board of directors again? Which company’s gay CEO bashed Alabama for not being kind enough to homos?
It’s amazing how many of you keep pretending like that stuff never happened, while having the nerve to question why we are on a conservative website and are not cheerleaders for that company.
Keep your eyes open. Common sense ...
$99 iPhone.

People were saying the same thing about Ford Motor Company in the 1920s. Where could they go after the Model T? Morons. Companies reinvent themselves to stay competitive and profitable. IBM was a nondescript company that branched out into many different products. You could say the same for many old companies; they enlarged their product lines and stayed innovative. Large companies that started out with one product, in time were producing everything from food products and refrigerators to sea-going ships. That's one reason Apple Computer dropped the "Computer" from their name, they're planning ahead for the future.
Reading is FUNdamental.
Reread my response. I don’t care what you buy.
Cut out the BS lies! Their Macs are made in the USA by Americans. Unlike most of the Windows PC crap made in China. You just won't admit it because you hate Apple (an American company) but you love Korean and Chinese crap.
If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.
Consumer choice is like buying a Maytag washer because of the way it works and the layout of the knobs ... while another person doesn’t like the way the knobs are positioned on the Maytag ... and then buys a Westinghouse. NOW ... Maytag isn’t trying to force people to accept their “knob layout” ... that’s simply the way they decided was the BEST WAY to do it. That is what THEY DECIDED. it has nothing to do with consumers “choosing where the knobs go” ... LOL ...
IN THIS CASE ... Apple designed their system this way because Flash was nothing but trash, would compromise security, and would “hog resources” and run the system down. Apple TOOK OUT THE TRASH, when they designed their system.
ON TOP OF THAT ... Adobe doesn’t support it any longer for Android!
We made the decision to discontinue support for Android mobile browser because of two reasons: 1) Premium experiences on mobile devices are typically being delivered through apps and 2) Mobile websites mostly rely on HTML5 based video delivery.
http://blogs.adobe.com/primetime/2012/06/impact-on-android-video-delivery/
And TODAY ... we see Apple decided correctly and “ahead of the game” ... as seems to be the case with Apple most of the time. Adobe doesn’t even support it any longer ADMITTING that HTML 5 is the way to go, just like YouTube discontinuing Flash!
You’re complaining about Aplle being AHEAD OF THE GAME! ... :-) ...
