Grocery stores in New York City and around the Northeast are being overrun and cleaned out as customers brace for a "potentially historic" snow storm set to bury the region.
Shoppers tweeted photos from checkout lines at stores throughout the Northeast using the hashtags #blizzardof2015 and #Snowmageddon2015:

Are the union plow drivers going to make life hell for everyone again?
LOL, a little snow and you all go Crazy , the MSM gets you every time , LOL
Don’t worry, Mayor DiBlasio has everything under control. /s
Wow - they could do a complete inventory clear-out on a regular basis by scaring the daylights out of people.
Scenes like this undermine my faith in humanity’s future. First, the local news hypes every snowfall into the Storm of the Century and I would have hoped that people have caught on to it now. Second, even if the storm actually is bad this time, don’t these people have at least a couple days’ worth of food stored up in their homes?
Actually Hurricane Sandy showed a lot of perpetually dependent people in the northeast that the government can’t do everything; it was a lesson that was needed.
I was surprised to hear when I came home for lunch that this “monster” storm has been downgraded from “historic” to “potentially historic”.

He was flappin’ his yap on the news this morning - I threw my bunny slipper at his head. Dinged him a good one, LOL!
What an ass. If there is ANY Karma, he’ll stroke out while shoveling.
My guess? It’ll be a mess whether it’s 2 inches or 2 feet. ;)
Me? Nah... here is my take on this severe weather phenomenon:
And on the 6th day of January 2015 the drastic consequences of man-made global warming descend upon the small town of Wellston Ohio (pop. 5600) like a blanket of white death. The town's stirring inhabitants mumble silent prayers to Saint ManBearPig (a.k.a. AlGore) to deliver them from the perils of Extreme Weather as they wait for an announcement from the appropriate Government Agencies to tell them when it will be safe to go outside again.
Sadly the records from the era tell us the County Government issued a Level One Snow Emergency and then forgot to lift the order and most of the county's inhabitants died over the next few weeks from starvation.
Of the 800 plus survivors of what was later called the first case of massive global warming death recorded in the United States of America almost all were over the age of 60.
Months later one of the survivors Sylas P. Grunt was interviewed on MSNBC (part of an antiquated communications system known as cable TV) and asked how he and his wife managed to survive the harrowing ordeal and how he withstood the Extreme Weather brought about by man-made global warming.
"Well missy when I was a youngin' we didn't call it Extreme Weather we called it snow. And when it fell on the ground we didn't wait for someone to tell us what to do we just went and got the snow shovels and ice scrapers and cleaned off our cars and sidewalks and went about our business."
Within 30 days Mr. Grunt was arrested and tried for eco-terrorism and heresy against the church of St. ManBearPig and was never heard from again.

Obama will just sign an EO forbidding it to snow more than 6 inches.
Is the commie mayor going to keep plows off the streets of the 1 percenters?
I grew up in Alabama...where they barricade the interstates and highways in even the most minor of snow events (no salt trucks).
Cleared shelves are the norm there....for even 1/2” of snow.
Looks like a people storm, not a snow storm.
Where’s the snow?
A little snow, not a big deal. Even a lot of snow, not a big deal. When they start measuring it in feet and the estimate is “2-3 with local conditions ranging higher” it’s a big deal.
Notice the healthy food there isnt being touched.
Unfortunately the lesson learned by the perpetually dependent was probably that the government needs to be even bigger and more powerful.
If you asked why they are there, they would probably say “ my TV and NPR told me that this is what we are ALL supposed to do duhhh”
These people don’t have two days worth of food in their house?
If they have any common sense they would be securing a generator and fuel.
The best part is I guarantee the store has maybe 3 of the 10 checkout lanes open.
God bless the preppers!
