As in the good ol’ USSR days, the communist governments always blamed the weather or the international situation for their failings.

Allow me to play Devil’s Advocate.

Could there actually be a God? If so, and Neu Yuk Sh*ty just elected a communist to the Mayor’s Office, could this just be G8d saying:

“You did WHAT! I’ll frost your butts for that!”

And it is about to happen.

The Devil’s Advocate invokes Occam and rests his case.

The rethugs and glowbull warming must have caused this. Round them up and send them to the gulags.

You hit it correctly. They are already previewing their coming failures. Are the snowplow truck drivers going to have a slowdown for increased wages? Are the bureaucrats going to wring their hands and say there is nothing they can do? You know the bottom line is that they will blame human-caused increased CO2 levels for the extreme weather and call for more government controls to save the planet from ourselves. This is just the prelude to those charges no matter how bad the storm actually is.
