In a Weekly Standard piece titled, “The ‘American Sniper’ Freakout: Why the Left Can’t Tolerate This Movie,” Mark Hemingway does a fine job of breaking down exactly why the Left either hates “American Sniper” or is dishonestly claiming it is a left-wing movie. It’s a thorough, must-read that perfectly lays out the case. Outside the context of the film itself, there is an additional reason the Left can’t tolerate Eastwood’s masterpiece: every act of apostasy, even one, must be punished.
The Left cannot tolerate dissent. If just one thing sneaks through the institutions the Left is desperate to hold a monopoly on, it is immediately crushed, defamed, mocked, and Frankenstein-villaged until the end of time.
Just try to read this from Vox without seeing the vein throbbing in the author’s forehead:

Sorry to offend you and your fanaticism with the Nazis. I was trying to make a point about snipers on the battlefield. You have to admit that Russian snipers did their thing. Not only that I wholly believe that the Russians ended WWII at least with the Nazis (Japanese; the US). Hitler f$%#ed up big time going into Russia during the winter and undersupplied no less (big balls and/or stupid). Anyways, the German war machine that rose to power by committing crimes against humanity are not brave. That is cowardly. They fought like hell on the battle field and their weapons were state of the art but nothing like a totalitarian dictatorship to light a fire up under your arse ay? Had it not been for the holocaust and they were simply trying to “expand their territory” maybe I’d agree with you, but the Nazis were monsters and snipers took a lot of them out. The thing about the Wermacht at Stalingrad is that they met a superior force than them, that’s a fact. Regardless of casualty numbers and if it was a meat grinder for all, the Wermacht aren’t worthy of honor on the battlefield, because they shouldn’t have been the bully that started a fight and lost.

There is no way everyone thought that destroying the world and killing off a race was ok in the case of the Nazi. They were brainwashed and subjected to a totalitarian dictator. Hitler and his cronies knew exactly what they were doing (ever hear of propaganda?) they did not have the primitive minds of those ancient and early history military forces much smarter and advanced. You get what I’m saying? The Nazi were intent and deliberate criminals. I seen your WWIII: Islam vs. the West. You really think a huge world war would be spectacular don’t you? You also realize that it wouldn’t be the religion of Islam it would be ALL the nations that inhabit the greatest numbers of Islamic believing combatants relative to non-believers (Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, and so on) including their allies, i.e., communist nations (Russia and allies, Iran and allies, China and allies, North Korea and allies, etc..) WWIII would be profound and I’d say a nuke or two would probably get lobbed it happened in the last one. The hands of power would change and the US would no longer be what it is now more than likely considering its problems now. Albert Einstein said If there were to be a WWIII WWIV would be fought with sticks and stones. Who knows?

Oh yeah do even know what you are talking about? This thread started out about the movie American Sniper. I support it, snipers, our military, our constitution, apple pie, etc. I like guns and hunting, fishing, the outdoors, etc. I believe I am American and have served in the military. I don’t like liberals because they sound like you and are ant-American like our current POTUS. I am an open-minded non-partisan type of person who like the idea of a logical compromise that satisfies everyone. I said I was a libertarian constitutional conservative in how my views align I am not blind following sheep of any party no matter how good they seem, they are all corrupt deceiving politicians who do not give one iota about you or me.

Islam’s current war with the West erupted with the Ayatollah Khomeini seizing control of Iran in 1979.
The embers of that war had been simmering in the background since Sayyid Qutb formed the Muslim Brotherhood in the 1950s. He spent two years studying in the United States and he hated most everything about us. He arrived here as a secularist, he returned to Egypt as a sharia Muslim.
But the enmity of Islam for the West goes right back to Mohammed. Islam demands that all submit to it. The West and Islam cannot coexist. Hillaire Belloc was writing about Islam’s dormancy before WWII saying it was only a matter of time before its virulent nature showed itself again. Churchill made similar comments. They weren’t alone.
