American politics has changed radically over the past generation. What used to be fatal for a politician in 1972 (i.e. smoking pot, crying, receiving oral sex from a subordinate) is celebrated today and actually enhances the chances of a candidate to win public office.
Consider that the nation recently elected as president an utterly incompetent little man whose resume had absolutely nothing of significance. If this man applied for the job as assistant manager of a burger stand, he would be immediately passed over as unqualified. He might even have trouble getting a job flipping the burgers due to his lack of prior work experience.
So that all said, as offbeat and as flippant as this Sarah Palin can be, she does have a shot at the GOP nomination. Especially considering the stiffs that she will likely be up against.

I like Sarah Palin in the same way and with the same fervor that I like Rush Limbaugh.
They are fearless, articulate, God-fearing patriots finding the "theater" in the "political".
They just have about them the wonderful smell of AMERICA!
Run, don't run - I have no opinion, because they are serving the Republic doing what they do.

“Interest” may take many forms. Perhaps not just for herself, but in other attractive potential candidates.
If Governor Palin REALLY wanted to pull some chains, she could have a high-level meeting with Mitt Romney, much like Jeb Bush recently had.
Then she could turn in “Ernst” to grooming Joni, of Iowa, for the 2020 election.
I do not see Sarah herself actually engaging in a run, any more than, say, Paul Ryan, who has already sort of stepped back from contention.

If she runs as VeeP and wins a second term for the same that means she could run as Prez afterwards and possibly go for another eight years for a total of sixteen years. I wouldn’t mind that.

As opposed to the RAT Romney who uses elections

That's my point. Mike Huckabee. Chris Christie. Rick Perry. Jeb Bush. These are the guys that will be her competition.
Palin will eat their lunch.
Personally I don't think she'll run but if she did, she would quickly clear the field of these clowns.

I’m not holding my breath. I’ll believe it when I see her on stage at a debate.

You’ve given your self away as a disruptor.
To: standingfirm
It will be Jeb Bush or Romney.
And my guess is it will be a Bush Vs Clinton race. The elites will never let Palin get that close to the Whitehouse again.

I think she is aware of what the media has been bale to accomplish as far as ruining her image and reputation. Never-the-less, she still has the ability to grab attention and move the conversations in a different direction.
Without her and Cruz injecting their views (and some reality) this will become a money game between Romney and Bush and then Hillary will crush them both.

No one runs for VP more than once (except for reelection of course). It would scream wimpiness.

Because I don’t worship at the temple of Palin? You want to ban all users who don’t support her?
