Usually, when you accuse someone of being anti-immigrant, that person points out that he or she is anti-illegal immigrant. Rick Santrorum has an issue with workers who are not natives. (h/t Karoli at Crooks and Liars).
Rick Santorums grandfather came to America in 1923 as an immigrant but that fact does not deter him from thinking that we have a big problem in this country thats almost as bad as illegal immigration.
Heres some of what Santorum said:
Let me ask you a question. Since 2000 there have been a little over six million net new jobs created. What percentage of those net new jobs are held by people not born in this country? Half? Sixty? All of them.

Another example of Rick’s astoundingly stupid statements.
After hearing him declaim on Bill Butthead’s “Morning in America” that “Freedom means the freedom to do what’s right !”, a sentiment Hitler would love, I knew that Rick would never get my vote for dogcatcher.
If by cutting back on legal immigration he meant cutting back on Muslim Somali parasites, and illiterate mestizos and indios yearning to eat free, I might listen. But I doubt he means anything so sensible.
These are the vast majority of immigrants, legal and illegal. Indian computer programmers and Korean businessmen are just the window dressing to hide the reality that our immigration policy is basically one of importing poverty and ignorance.
No, it is not the same. Legal immigrants have respect for the nation’s laws whereas illegals do not. Legal immigrants are moral people who help America but illegals disrespect America.
