well i am glad my tax dollars are used for important things like this, instead of for my children’s college tuition
I don’t get it.
Personally I find eating to be a chore. Something that is necessary but I tend to put it off as long as I can.
“STOP EATING”
You remind me of my Dad. If I said I can’t lose weight, that was his response. Just don’t eat.
Dad was a little guy — about 5’4” or so and most of the time around 130 pounds. In the winter months when he might not be as active, he would add maybe 5 pounds. When he did, he would cut out bedtime snacks for a day or two. In no time, his weight was back to normal.
Doesn’t work that way for me. Took me almost 4 years to lose 88 pounds. I lose maybe a pound here, a half pound there, and some weeks I lose nothing.
My point is that for some of us, weight loss isn’t as simple as don’t eat and increase exercise. Some of us do the best we can, but for whatever reason, weight loss is a slow and difficult process.
By the way, the above is not an excuse. It’s just the way it is.
Bariatric surgery - risky business that. At least one of our members died from complications of it. (Texas Flower)
I’m very sorry to hear that.
I try to avoid Doctors.
Most Doctors are just “Practicing” medicine.
including $1,283,000 to provide sexual assault training to the Air Force.
perhaps they could teach the authoir of the article how to write in english...?
Actually, we can show someone health stats and talk about those, such as rising cholesterol blood levels and heart attacks, among other health issues. Or how about ask about how it feels. Because I gained and lost a little bit of weight when I was about 28 years old. It wasn’t pleasant, and I did got notified about the weight gain by my doctor, who also asked me about my fitness, which when I answered honestly. TBH, I am not one of those miracle weight loss stories, nor am I still, weighing in at about 210 lbs and 6’1”, but life does feel better, an less depressing, with excercise, an I am glad my doctor asked those questions that he did.
Sadly enough, most of that should have been natural common sense.
Yeah, I haven’t been a miracle story either, walking around does help lower my stress level, and without the excessive expectation for results, being outside and seeing light, or just a little walk, is good, just helps me not feel gloomy. I figured out a while that I wasn’t going to get back to the slim teenage boy that I was, but with that aside, my walks in the park are fine, an enjoyable.
Think about how much they spend to FEED fat kids.
I’d teach them to say, “Kid, go play outside.” for a mere $49,988. Or better yet, “Parent, quit hovering and let kid play outside.”
“Doctors” in the Minneapolis St Paul area already talk to grown adults like they are eight year olds.
But if you let your kid play outside, CPS will come knocking on your door with a SWAT backup.
government waste never seems to end

So I have to join the air force to learn how to sexually assault someone?
